Guest guest
Hello, two of our grown daughters are Type A and have by choice been mostly Vegeterian all their lives. Most all to the listed things it says 'Avoid', they are allergic to. It indicates for Meat: 'None' for type A. With Irritable Bowel Syndrome I donot have any problem of anything petutrid staying in my gut so the Type O Diet and I are just fine. Recently become intolerent of Potatoes of any kind, and find on the diet that is one thing to Avoid. Always have been intolerent of pickled, acid forming foods that increase Candidia...and it says to Avoid them all. Guest guest
Hi Deborah, I'm type A and maybe I implied a more dramatic difference in the diets than really exists -- you're right, the type A and macrobiotic are pretty similar. The biggest difference for me was stopping wheat products which the macrobiotic diet allows you to eat and the blood type says to restrict. I really believe that's been a major difference. The other thing is that I tended to eat meat on the macrobiotic occassionally and now don't at all. Perhaps the biggest improvement is simply the ease in A diet as opposed to macrobiotics. I had a hard time balancing the yin/yang combos and all the cooling/warming etc. Not that it's any more complicated than any other food system, it just felt so foreign to me that I had to really think about it in a way I don't about the type A. I guess the biggest advantage of blood type diets (if the science behind them is accurate and no, I'm not willing to bet the family farm on that even as I'm following the diet!) is that they seem more attuned to individual varations. Along those lines, I imagine there are variations within variations, so I'd certainly develop the dietary plan that appears best suited to your individual nutritional status! I'd love to do a hair analysis and probably will . . . right now, I'm a little afraid of what I'd find there! It's scary to think of one's nutritional deficiencies being definitively proven . . . it's somehow more comforting to not have the evidence. . . just my current escapist thinking. Guest guest
How do you go about knowing what your blood type is without giving blood. I have tried to get it done when I go for my thyroid blood test but the lab wont do it unless the Dr. orders it and they wont do it just to know your blood type. Can I go anywhere else? I even told the lab I would pay for it myself. Dina ______________________________________________________

Guest guest
Hi , Yes, the Blood Type diet is definitely easier and I will probably stick to it a little better. Though today was Mardi Gras and I really blew it with King Cake and a pot luck " feast " . Oh well, tomorrow is another day. Do you ever supplement with protein powder? Guest guest
Tony, I also eat according to my blood type. I am having a lot of success with the type A diet. I used to have a lot of digestive problems. They have gone entirely. What blood type are you? > Hi All! > > Used to take Bactrim. Lost my sense of taste from it. Guest guest
Hi ! I am eating according to the blood type A+. Even though the diet suggests elimination of all dairy products I eat a bit of hard cheese because it seems to help with a milky aftertaste on my tongue after eating. I think that is a personal quirk. I found out about this list through curezone.com I am a spiritual person recently turning my attention to health. I found a book called Direct Healing by Ellsworth that has brought me a lot of confidence in finding an answer to my HIV+ problem. I am in great health and thanks to this forum have wised up to doctors. I still want an HIV- test result because I think that a perspective mate would understand the HIV myth better if I were able to produce that conveinient bit of certification. Thanks to all in the forum for sharing. Love, Tony Muniz.
Guest guest
I am type O and I don't eat much beef. It's usually just too heavy for me. Because I run I like to keep my meals light so I can run farther and faster. I also weight train and have competed successfully as a bodybuilder . . . using mostly chicken and tuna for protein. Fish is my favorite protein source and since I live in Hawaii it's readily available. So I don't subscribe to the blood type thing. It just doesn't apply. Guest guest
It is a joy to find out you are in Hawaii. I am in Austin Texas and am watching Hurricane Rita inch its way this direction. I call myself a vegetarian, but in reality I eat fish. I guess I am a vegaquarian. My daughter-in-law had the same story you have, and she was on the national volleyball team - but she did change to beef and has way more stamina even than before. > Fish is my favorite protein source and since I live in Hawaii it's > readily available. since I live in Hawaii it's readily available. Well that is also type O food:-))) So you are doing okay then:-)) It's not like you have to eat ALL the type O foods listed - you just have to eat as though the store only contained type O foods - you buy what you like from those:-)) Fish is very much on the list, and makes perfect sense being in HI. I dunno if HI has changed much, but despite the cattle ranches on Hawaii island, I found beef awfully expensive and usually only available frozen when I was in HI (Kauai). I'd also eat fish there - and pineapple of course - also very type O:-)) So in what way are you not eating type O style then? Chicken is on the list - just does not sustain a type O as long as beef or cod does. ....Irene -- Irene de Villiers, B.Sc AASCA MCSSA D.I.Hom. I sure hope it decides to peter out from what it is doing now and that it doesn't reach your area with any strength after all.
