Bonnie, the language you copied from the label has nothing to do with

whether the product has been heated or not during processing. The way

to tell the undenatured wheys apart, from the actual ingredients, is

on my whey page.

were using, the wrong kind you said. I now forget what you called

it. I asked you Duncan, if mine was okay but never did find out.

Does it help if I give you this ingredients list from the container?

If it doesn't help, please take a look at this page.

Bonnie, body builders LOST lean mass while on vegetable protein; in

the elderly this will be muscle AND organ mass because as one gets

more emaciated the organs are slowly used up too. But sure, go ahead

on it if that's your only option. I'd suggest eggs as second to whey

though.

The uncooked whey powder helps with toxins by being uniquely high in

precursors of your detoxifying enzyme, and your organs that are the

most exposed to toxins use most of it. This is the master antioxidant

glutathione we've been referring to for a few years now on this and the

coconut oil list.

There's no lactose or casein in some of the whey powders.

all good,

Duncan:

Your page - Cold-processed Whey Powder Produces Glutathione, states that

WHEY ALONE produces Glutathione, so why do we also need the Selenium?

I only took it for 2-3 months and had all the symptoms of Selenosis so

perhaps it was NOT BEING METABOLIZED properly because of the INFLAMMED and

LEAKY GUT. Is that possible?

Thanks,

Bonnie

It was Selenomethionine at only 200 mcg. I can't help what the medical books

say. I had it and also pimples or acne which I've never had before.

Bonnie, glutathione peridoxase absolutely requires selenium for its

formation. People have some selenium in their diets, but when they add more

glutathione precursors they'll of course need more in order to optimize

glutathione production.

After all these years I don't trust your own diagnosis Bonnie, sorry.

Selenium at 3200 mcg for a year only produced fingernail deformities, not

selenosis; how much were you taking anyway and was it sodium selenite or

selenomethionine?

Just read the labels, Bonnie, to avoid hydrolysed whey. I didn't keep a list.

Hydrolysed contains a lot more glutamate, which is a problem for a few people.

Thanks Duncan, I didn't know that, well yes I did but what looking for

something pre-digested a bit for my Achlorhydria. More Glutamate causes what

problems in some people?

Yes, Bonnie, some people react to excess glutamate, but not glutamic acid in

whey and milk.

Bonnie, the beauty of whey protein is that it is easily absorbed without stomach

acid and without digestion; it is an ideal protein for the very young, the very

old, and those with compromized digestion.

Even though it doesn't require pre-digestion prior to absorption, some

companies, such as Fortius.ca, put a few enzymes in it for the minor proteins

that do require digestion but that's more of a selling point than a practical

one.

I suggested DYNA WHEY to you years ago when I was selling it into the USA,

remember? It's still a good deal and it's still the one I use personally. It

contains some enzymes and a little colostrum, an immune booster.

You can get DYNA WHEY at a lower price than SuperStore sells it, from

iwindirect.com, fortius.ca's online sales point. The cupon code is DYNAWHEY09 to

get your discount. I just paid $63 something CAD for three 1080 gram bags, over

7 pounds, shipping included. It would've been $96 CAD at SuperStore.

You shouldn't experience glutamate toxicity with hydrolyzed whey anyway; about a

kilo of it is recycled in your body every day, and the 1/5 gram or so in some

food wouldn't be a problem.

The problems glutamate can create in some sensitive people come up in a gooogle

search.
