Do you have any other oils?

Hi everyone,

My sister gave me some coconut oil in solid form, (looks like crisco) and

the bag said 97 degrees on it. Does anyone have a recipe for using it, with

the coconut being the main ingredient? I want to use it up, but dont know

any recipes. Maybe recipes with just a few ingredients, as I dont have much

to work with. Thank you so much, and have a nice day.

Elaine White has a formula in her book for what she calls " Pure Soap " . It is

just lye, water and coconut oil. It makes a hard, white and rather harsh bar

with lots of suds. Dee Dreamspinner

On a related note to this -

what do you all use as oil for baking? We got rid of our canola oil,

read that olive oil is no good, can't really afford to use butter all

the time... etc. Can you use lard (melted) as the oil? or is this the

use for coconut oil, and what if you don't have coconut oil?

any help would be greatly appreciated.

Olive oil is fine for sauteeing, or with Mediterranean cooking. Just

out of curiosity, who says it's no good?

Even regular store butter is better than nothing, IMO. Sally Fallon

said as much when I attended her lecture back in December during the

ACRES Conference.

Pastureland brand butter is frightfully expensive-- $5 to $6 for a

pound, which I think is ridiculous, even if it is 100% grass-fed and

very yellow. I'll buy it if I have extra money on hand, but

otherwise, I get my butter at Ingebretsen's on Lake Street in Mpls.

Or you could look for Hope, from Hope Creamery, which comes in a plain

blue & white wax paper wrapper.

Sorry, I think my wording confused you.

We use olive oil and butter to saute, but what I'm wondering about it

what to use for baking. Using butter would be horrifically expensive

(at least to us - poor PhD student household).

Anyway, for baking, what kind of oil would you use if you had no coconut

oil on hand. I assume that coconut oil would be ideal, but could you

use lard? Or, are you limited to some type of oil or melted butter?

Thanks for the tips on butter, though.

I'm sorry I forgot when I came to write some e-mails last night, but I had

been thinking about how I would answer your question while making supper last

night.

If I followed that philosophy, as I understand it, that would mean that I

couldn't have ANY tropical fruit - oranges, bananas, pineapple, etc. BTW, I

am German, Swedish and a little bit of French. I will readily admit, I won't

follow this philosophy because I don't like the idea of NEVER having any of

those fruits. Also, that means that I should like sauerkraut and lutefisk.

I'm working on the sauerkraut (fermented vegies and all that, you know), but

I don't know if I'm willing to try lutefisk.

The other problem I have with this philosophy of eating what your ancestors

ate is how do you know how far to go back? What if our German or Swedish

ancestors had followed this philosophy? They either would've starved when

they eventually moved into the region now known as Germany or Sweden or they

never would've moved.

I am content in knowing that people living in tropical regions, before

industrialization and processed foods came along, ate coconuts and their

products in good health.

Lots of research, including peer-reviewed studies

here: http://www.coconutoil.com/

Use virgin coconut oil. It's available online from

various sources (best I found is family wilderness -

google the link) and also from WholeFoods/WildOats if

you have one near you, just make sure it says

unrefined - they have various types.

My family has been using coconut oil for nearly four

years now. We also use butter, and to a limited

extent, olive oil. No other fats.

We've found that adding coconut oil to any milk

products, such as semolina (which youngest son loves)

greatly reduces the effects he typically experiences

from milk products (despite using exclusively organic,

non-homogenised milk), such as twitching and coughing.

He only ever received one vax, the Hep-B, which will

give you an idea just how far vaccines will damage. I

had a fair share of them: smallpox, tb, oral polio, d

and t (probably not the p part, as I did have whooping

cough as a small child), and when pregnant, rubella,

despite having had rubella twice during childhood.

Hubby had smallpox, oral polio, d and t, and, as an

adult, yellow fever.

Coconut oil has helped alleviate symptoms for the

entire family, such as arthritis (most likely caused

by the rubella shot), hayfever, milk sensitivities,

and chronic constipation.

So, yeah, it's cool stuff that isn't genetically

engineered and therefore about as natural as you can

hope for in this day and age.

Also, if you feel obliged to use fats/oils unsuitable

for human consumption, such as canola or rapeseed, or,

in fact, any seed oils, add coconut oil, as it will

water down the poisonous effects of those oils.

But if you want to heal the effects of vaccines, use

coconut oil exclusively. It is neutral as far as

acid/alcaline foods go, from what I've read, but it

contains loads of lauric acids, which are essential to

the human body and easy to digest.

Wow, thank you . I will check it out. We don't have a Whole

Foods, unfortunately, but we have a small local health food store

that probably carries an organic unrefined coconut oil.

My family has also been using organic virgin coconut oil for years. I use the

brand Sheri mentions below. I use it for cooking, in my fruit smoothies, and on

my skin on a daily basis (as a substitute for lotion), and to moisturize my

hair. I used it topically on my non-vaxed daughter to treat her molluscum

contagiousum with excellent results.

I also buy my raw honey from Tropical Traditions.

The molluscum contagiousum, are those the little spots that appear, maybe

one or maybe a little patch of them and they have to be frozen off? If so,

do you just apply the coconut oil on it a few times a day? And they

disappear?

Thanks!

Hi lle,

I actually used the coconut oil as a carrier oil for Oil of Oregano. Mixing

both oils together, I used a q-tip to apply to each spot twice a day, morning

and evening. Then once the spots started drying up, I used the coconut oil

exclusively and just slathered her skin with it. She had it all over her legs,

arms, and face, poor girl.

Once she was diagnosed, I read about the different treatment options, e.g.,

freezing, rubbing the spots off, applying toxic mixtures, etc., but in the end

discovered that I had my own potential remedies right at my fingertips. Knowing

what I knew about the properties of each oil, I was pretty confident it would

work, and it did! With no scars left behind. You would never know she ever had a

skin ailment, her skin is so smooth and beautiful.

Hi ,

Thanks for the tip! My daughter was diagnosed and had 7 frozen off last

February and it was so awful (recovery) that we vowed never to do it again.

We have just put a band aid on it since it bothers her (located right under

her arm so she will swing her arm around and it hurts her) and the 3 that

she has had, have gone away after some time. However, now she has one on

her forearm and one on the top of her foot so I guess they are spreading?

I will try it and see how it goes. Thanks again!

A few ideas from our home...when my kids were in diapers, after

cleaning tushy, I rubbed a little coconut oil on them. When the kids

take a bath, after washing, I rub them down from head to toe (even a

bit in the hair) then let them soak for about 10 minutes (to play) and

then towel dry normally. Our skin is our largest organ, right, so if

you are absorbing coconut oil while your pores are open, it actually

gets to parts of your body easier than through your digestive system.

It works really well for cuts and scrapes under the band aid. We use

coconut oil instead of butter for pasta, rice, veggies. It gives a

very unique and pleasant flavor to foods, I think.

I could go on all day about the incredible benefits from coconuts and

the oil...but I won't!!!

Peace,

Kris

Oh no, poor girl! See, because of my daughter's age at the time, I felt the

freezing option would be too traumatic for her. I had never heard of this

ailment before my daughter came down with it, and it was pretty overwhelming at

first. I really credit her fast recovery, though, to her strong, unvaxed immune

system.

Good luck!

coconut oil exclusively and just slathered her skin with it. She had it all

over her legs, arms, and face, poor girl.

Once she was diagnosed, I read about the different treatment options, e.g.,

freezing, rubbing the spots off, applying toxic mixtures, etc., but in the

end discovered that I had my own potential remedies right at my fingertips.

Knowing what I knew about the properties of each oil, I was pretty confident

it would work, and it did! With no scars left behind. You would never know

she ever had a skin ailment, her skin is so smooth and beautiful.

The molluscum contagiousum, are those the little spots that appear, maybe

one or maybe a little patch of them and they have to be frozen off? If so,

do you just apply the coconut oil on it a few times a day? And they

disappear?

Thanks!

I had never heard of it going through nursing school or in all my

nursing years.

I have heard of more and more of it in the last 5 years.

I would suggest it is from immune system impairment from antibiotics,

drugs, vaccines and now 2nd & 3rd generation of heavily vaccinated

I cook and bake with it, and I use it in fruit

smoothies. With baking (which I don't do a lot except

for the holidays), I just tend to replace half of the

amount of fat the recipe calls for with coconut oil

(the other half is always butter). I fry eggs in

coconut oil. :) And for fruit smoothies (which for me

means basically various fruit thrown in the blender

and liquidised), I simply add a spoonful of it.

Numbers and I don't get on, so I can't really tell you

exactly how much I use. But I tend to have it on my

shopping list about every week or ten days, so a pound

of coconut oil per week to ten days is about right.

That's for a small household, three or four people,

depending how much time hubby spends at home, and we

cook/make 99% of food from scratch and rarely eat out.

I could go on and on about the subject of food

*grins*, but it really doesn't belong here. Take it

over to the ot4vax list, and I'll be happy to say

more, or email me directly.

I absolutely agree with that. In fact, I firmly

believe that the damage that vaccines cause to future

generation is very much underestimated! If you kids

are, say, third generation after the first vaccine was

introduced to your family, you'll likely end up with

allergies and other such annoying ailments that will

jeopardize your well-being, but your brain is at least

intact. Once you go past fifth or sixth generation,

you are likely to see autism, epilepsy, other

debilitating autoimmune problems, and worst, death.

Of course there are no studies about this. But simply

talking to people and living in different countries,

with different histories of vaccination, kind of

suggests something along those lines.

Also, I skimmed the thread about blood groups. I've

not seen differences in the different blood groups,

but Rhogam appears to play a huge role in contributing

to autism. Considering that only 15% of the white

population is missing the rhesus factor, there seems

to be an unbelievably high incidence rate of autistic

children.

How if at all can it be used to give to children? My daughter is 14 months

old and I want to be able to use it for her as well. Can I just do it with my

cooking or do you have any recipes you use for your kids?

Thank You again,

Rina
