PW, I'll have to check the specifics of the policy. I know we paid for some type of travel insurance, but I never read the fine print since I thought it only covered us not being able to make the trip for some reason. Thanks for the heads up. Guest guest
You mentioned that you have Lyme Disease? I know a guy that was sick for 5 years with Lyme and didn't know it. It was here in Ottawa, Canada. The doctor finally got him to take the best and it was positive. She told him that there are only 2 doctors in the world that are curing Lyme and one of them is in New York state. So he went there and did his Protocol and within 5 months of intensive drug therapy, he was cured. Amazing. He is against things like inulin because it is not digested by humans and thus becomes food for the bacteria in SIBO. He has found in his patients that when they limit non-digestable sugars the patients feel better and have more energy. My gut was doing better on the Xifaxin and no inulin with regards to my SIBO. I took a bunch of inulin two days ago and again yesterday morning. I proceeded to have loose watery stools for the first time in over a week and today I have felt horrible with muscle pains all over and a drunken fatigue feeling. While I think Inulin has a role in gut ecology, I dont think is the best for me at the present time.
