Guest guest
yes, on Vitacost, it's called NSI Candida Yeast Management---same EXACT ingredients as Candex, only 1/2 strength, so instead of 2, you should take 4...... I bought it in my search for " cost effectiveness " , but haven't used it yet, probably start in a week or so........ I'll probably use it up then switch back to Candex, as if it's not broken, don't fix it---I like the convenience of 1-2 capsules AM/PM rather than doubling it, and if you google Candex, you can find it at not a lot higher price than this is...... Guest guest
The ingredients are the same. Active ingredient is simply cellulase in large doses. It is a complete rip off brand but it's less than 1/2 the price. NSI products are usually pretty high quality despite their low prices, I have found. I agree that candex is one of the best if not the best product I have taken for candida, but after a bottle or 2 of candex, I switched to the NSI brand. You will almost surely see white webby stuff in your stool when taking this. And contrary to what the site says about candex, there is die off, especially with more severe cases. Plan to sleep longer. greg > > > > > > From: margretdzn@ .. <margretdzn@ ...> > > > Subject: Re:Yeast Treatment > > > candidiasis > > > Date: Saturday, November 28, 2009, 8:23 AM > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > >  > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > Candex and Ness are the two that I use and think they are the BEST...... > > > > > > they were originally recommended to me by my nutritionist, but I continue t > > > > > > o use them on my own........you can buy them online...... .I know Whole > > > > > > Foods carries the Candex too..... > > > > > > > > > > > > Blessings, Margaret > > > > > > " We are not held back by the love we didn't receive in the past, but by > > > > > > the love we're not extending in the present. Guest guest
Greg, few weeks of strict elimination might not be good enough. It took more more then 1 year to not react badly to gluten. in fact right after I went gluten free, if I had gluten by contamination or mistake, I would react worse then before. well after 2 years now, I can handle small amounts without it killing me. of course I get symptoms, but they last a day or two. something to think about. carmen ________________________________ From: dreaminginnoother <dreaminginnoother@...> candidiasis Sent: Thu, December 3, 2009 1:46:33 PM Subject: Re: Yeast Treatment I have done an MRT test. Guest guest
Has anyone here ever tried to add in a biofilm protocol? We started this a few weeks ago in our house (myself and my son with autism) and have seen a definite difference. Here is something brief about biofilm: " Biofilms are a polysaccharide-type matrix (think of a large gelatinous glob) secreted by opportunistic bacteria and yeast. These pathogens secrete these biofilms as a defense mechanism to prevent immune detection which allows them to survive in an otherwise hostile environment. Unfortunately, with expansion of abnormal bacteria and yeast biofilms, the normal flora in the digestive system are reduced in number and overtime the digestive system becomes more and more stressed with increasing numbers of bad bacteria and yeast. In many situations these bacteria and yeast secrete toxins which adversely affect health. An example of biofilms is dental cavities. Bacteria in the mouth can produce biofilms which lead to cavity formation. A brand of mouthwash is now available called Biotene (found in most drug stores) which is specifically designed to help breakdown biofilms in the mouth. Guest guest
Greg, When you just eliminate you do almost nothing for over all health. Just cleaning the pipes is not healing. The lining of the intestines has quite a mutidimentional job. The villi are homes to the microorganisms. The villi is also the point of contact for the exchange of information, frequencies, nourishment and detox. When the lining has been harmed and gummed up, a cleaning does very little. The lining and the villi has to be repaired. I use an electrically formulated combo of herbs that not only clean your pipes but also bring back the life to the villi. The allergy issue is quite simple to me. Allergies are a result of a digestive tract that has been damaged and a microorganism imbalance. This is where the diet and supplementation is so important. Guest guest
We do use it, but they are just using that as an example of biofilm somewhere in the body. As for biofilm in the gut and elsewhere we do the following: Morning on empty stomach - Virastop enzyme, Interfase Plus (enzyme with EDTA) - can also use Candex here (it would be a good addition) 30-45 mins later - Monolaurin, Prothera Undecylex ( http://www.protherainc com/prod/proddetail.asp?ID=UND ), Nutramedix Takuna, olive leaf extract and then regular supplements/minerals along with breakfast. 1 1/2 - 2 hours later - modified citrus pectin and bentonite clay (must be careful of source and type on the clay). Can also use activated charcoal, alginates, etc. It is very important to follow the 3 steps to this. If you have a doctor that is open to this, it is best to do it under their guidance. I have been battling this for a long time and have tried many treatments and diets. When you have spent 9 years on a child with various treatments and diets (SCD, Body Ecology, GAPS) and you still have issues with the gut, it gets frustrating. I have Candida, Lyme and autoimmune issues as well as other things and my son (age 12) has autism. This is the first thing that has really helped my son to get the OCD under control as well as the major sensory issues that he has. It seems to knock it down enough to be able to get the good stuff established better in the gut. I am not a doctor (just a mom, but with a research background) and I know there are people on this list that are better qualified, but I also see a LOT of you struggling with this and not getting anywhere, so thought I would mention what has been finally working in our household. Please do your own research and come up with your own conclusions. I have been away from that for over 4 years. greg > > > > > > These enzymes do work to some extent. You may kill off the candida overgrowth in the gut, but it will come back eventually from the candida that is everywhere else in the body. > > > > > > Wil Spencer VMSP, Naturopath, Internationally published author, researcher > > > > > > http://mbsre-set.com explains my electrical and biological views, the electrical reset process and products to support the body's electrical and biological systems from the point of view with the new science of Quantum Physics. > > > http://environotics.com is jammed packed with cutting edge information to educate yourself in regards to the food chain, soil, environment and the human body. It seems to work good, but wondered what other products have others used with success that do not have to be secured through a health professional? The inulin is out for me, and I have started the cystine and selenium. I noticed some doctors just say use Olive Oil extract and Oil of Oregano. Wondered what my option are? Guest guest
well, I don't know that I have any formally defined allergies. And i agree that most allergies and intolerances would disappear if one's system is in balance. So sounds like your recommendation now is taking your herbal formula in addition to the probiotics? greg > > Greg, > > When you just eliminate you do almost nothing for over all health. > > Wil Spencer VMSP, Naturopath, Internationally published author, researcher > > http://mbsre-set.com explains my electrical and biological views, the electrical reset process and products to support the body's electrical and biological systems from the point of view with the new science of Quantum Physics. > http://environotics.com is jammed packed with cutting edge information to educate yourself in regards to the food chain, soil, environment and the human body. I did a strict elimination for a few weeks, saw nothing. Did a less strict after that, and carried on for a few years trying to mostly avoid the main reactive foods. I now feel there is no real difference in the way I feel between taking these " reactive " foods and avoiding them. > > greg > > > > > >
