Guest guest
Jenni~ I am SO impressed and proud of your hard work. You make it sound so easy, but I am sure it wasn't. I am hoping that my banding goes as well as yours. Thanks for writing about it. Guest guest
Greetings All I apologize if I have been lack in my moderation of the group...personal challenges, not health related thank God. I did look over the last few days and tried to see what Helen and Carol are speaking about. For those of you that have been here as long as I have, I am sure you can attest to the change in duncan over the years in the way he goes about expressing himself. duncan, you should not tell someone that is frustrated like Helen was .... " Rubbish " that is enough to just pore gasoline over the fire. Helen and anyone else that has felt offended by Duncan I can only say this...I am sure that he will apologize to you personally or on the group page for causing anyone to be uncomfortable. I also know that there are many products that are out there that will take care of the thing that we need the most...to be in balance with our health. What he recommends works for most people, and there are other things that work also. Duncan, we do not need a total white paper work-up for everything that come to our attention. If there is someone that is giving information that is 'TOTALLY " harmful, as it has happened in the past, then a red flag needs to be shot across the bow...but in a nice manner as if to help educate not claim one to be stupid...that is how I personally took that Rubbish comment! Helen, you are such a precious gift to the group and I would be honored if you would stay and continue to share in your loving way. Remember all, if you are having a problem with anyone in the group or anything in the group, please let me know...I will handle the situation. nieema0@... Guest guest
I apologize if I offended anyone including Helen with an expletive as bland as " rubbish " . This might stem from my culture, my private shooling, my thick hide, whatever, but I'm not accustomed to coddling people, sorry, even in my consulting practice. Thee gist of my request for info is not changed at all, however; IMO asking for supportive details from someone who purports to know them, or exposing the limitations of a product as I did a couple of years ago in Carol's case with the blue-green algae from Klamath Lake, only relegates more myths to the proper bin, and that's beneficial to everyone, right? We now know that some advice is harmful as Nieema pointed out, we know some candida myths don't have any weight at all, we know some products are vastly misunderstood, and we know some well-hyped products are practically worthless. IMO, and I think most would agree, myths don't come with white papers, they don't belong in a health discussion, and they're not useful except to joke about. Did anyone misunderstand me? If not, then 'nuff said indeed. Guest guest
I appreciate Duncan's focus and thoroughness to the many perspectives that surface in our discussion group. (IMO) Duncan stays in integrity and has the courage to speak out. Having said that, I appreciate all opinions offered. It is a way for someone like myself to learn and to research to find what would be appropriate for my health concerns. Please don't let your personalities get in the way of a healthy exchange of ideas. We all have something valuable to add to the mix. Guest guest
Here Here! I second Ann's sentiments as I'm sure so many do. The timing of some of the posts, ideas, rebutles, and transformations have been so helpful to use and share with others. To those who are really looking for help or to help, thanks for not giving up. It's immeasurable to see how even a little progress with health can impact a life and those around us. And thanks Duncan for staying through thick and thin, giving your best effort and answering all those questions. alles gute! > > I appreciate Duncan's focus and thoroughness to the many perspectives that surface in our discussion group. Guest guest
Just curious- when i was diagnosed at 14- i was far enough gone that they didn't even bother bracing me- my curve was progessing at a really quick pace-however before they did surgery-they told my parents that i needed to be fully grown- they xray'd my wrist every week-as thats how they can tell how much growing you have left-once they determined  my bones were fully grown i was in the OR very quickly- so my question is.....why do they operate on really young children? or maybe the question is-why did they make me wait? Sorry for the long and more than likely confusing question.... my pain meds just kicked in! Karyn  From: <rjpaddon@...> Subject: Greetings All Scoliosis Treatment Received: Thursday, January 13, 2011, 7:30 PM  Not sure if I made introductions or not, but here goes: I was diagnosed with scoliosis at age 3, surgeries at 5, 7, 10 and 12. I will try to get a copy of the Xrays. I am 33 now and am relatively pain free. I have the Harrington Rods as well as a spinal fusion with a dwire (sp) and wore every kind of brace you can imagine, but mostly the Boston Brace. If you have questions or just need someone that understands, feel free to drop me a line.
Guest guest
Thanks! I don't know if I have a curve in my neck, geeze! I waited for 3-4 years to get the first sugery and I do NOT want to have to wait again. I think if people don't have it, they just don't get how bad it hurts!
