Guest guest
Hi. I'm new to this group. I've been taking over 50 billion strains of probiotics per day, including Lactobacillus species, but no Lactobacillus showed up on my stool test. I would like to re-establish it in my gut flora. I've been taking MMS to keep bad bacteria under control. Citrobacter freundii showed up at low levels, but it can get pathogenic if it continues to grow. I'm just wondering if the MMS keeps me from establishing Lactobacillus in my gut. Thanks in advance for any advice.
Guest guest
, MMS may have something to do with an unwanted probiotic kill in the guts, but the main cuplrit in a low stool analysis is more likely to be inadequate feed for the probiotics. Starving them out after eating them is not a formula for success. Feeding the probiotic culture some inulin in food or as an additive to food is the formula for successfully culturing probiotics. all good, Duncan > > Hi. Guest guest
No, you can take all the oral probiotics in this world and you won't get the colonies back. Probiotics are transcients and only implant the gut temporary. There isn't proved way to re-colonize the gut. Some people are trying human feacal transplant to see if they get results. > > Hi. Guest guest
Wil, Bring only one proof that oral probiotics colonize the intestine permanently. I have participated in discussions about this topic many times in several candida forums. LGG, L. Reuteri, L. Plantarum V-299 have shown to colonize the gut temporary. As soon you stop the intake, they disappear from the feces and can not be recover by small intestinal biopsies. There isn't any real evidence probiotics implant in the gut forever at least in humans. They last 15 or 20 more days after stop the intake. Permanent colonization hasn't been demostrated. > > > > Hi. Guest guest
Yes, there are several places around the world where you can get a faecal transplant. Australia, UK , and some places in US. This has been used to treat C. Difficile in the large bowel. Since candida overgrowth in the small bowel, it needs to be done by the nose. They give you a PPI to neutralize the stomach acid and sometimes antibiotics. A poo shake could be a great idea if you are brave enough. Mixed with chocolate could be great. I haven't tried yet, but I am almost ready. > > > > Hi. Guest guest
, Seriously, if I know taking a fecal shake from my dauther will solve my intestinal candidiasis, I will do it without hesitation. But, nobody knows if this is the solution. Fecal implant is probably the only way to recover the intestinal flora so far. Not sure if taking fermented food will do something. In a near future, probably this technic become more popular. It is a matter of time. > > > > > > Hi.
