Guest guest
Patty, when my ulcer was really acting up last summer I bought some slippery elm and mixed it with a mouthful of juice just to wash it down. It doesn't mix well but enough to get it down. I also used Deglicerized Licorice that I would chew 20 min before my meal. Both of these along with aloe vera juice helped tremendously for me. Jackie I went out and bought the 16 ounce bag of slippery elm yesterday and tried it. I know why they call it slippery elm now! I mixed several Tablespoons with about 3 ounces of apple juice, and stirred it all up--it did gel up into a nice pudding very well. And it definitely was "slippery"! It wasn't too bad eating it, but I did end up washing it down with more apple juice. Glad to hear it helped you. On another note, I did a 2 day fast earlier this week, and my head got really spacey. I took no supplements at all, and ended up breaking my fast earlier than I had planned. Once I added the herbs and molybdenum back in, my spacey head cleared up very well. I am not sure which one is helping with the spacey head the most, but I have a feeling it is the molybdenum. Patty
Guest guest
Hi Patty, funny you should mention the spaciness. I haven't noticed to much of that lately and altho I know I still don't have the clarity that I used to have I'm no longer fumbling around in the clouds. Hmmmm, wonder why? Thats too bad that you experienced that after a short period of fasting. Because of my hypoglycemia, fasting is one thing that I have not tried or at least have not been able to do for more than 8 hrs at a stretch. I hope one day I will be able to.
