Guest guest
Beth, don't give up dear. Yes, do Moves/Bee's diet and supplements (minus her advice) it's not that hard. You'll get there eventually. The quickest way for a situation like yours is to do an elimination diet thus finding the foods that give you the symptoms. Start w/ 4 foods less allergenic and introduce one food at the time for 4-5 days and see if you get a reaction. This is harder then Bee's diet. I don't know what your diet is like and what antifungals & supplements you take, but following Moves / Bee's diet is a must for candida control. And if you have the leaky gut, then more is required along Moves/Bee's diet. The dizziness is caused by toxins your body can not eliminate properly which could also bee reactions to food. Hang in there dear. Try St 's Worth extract in water 3x/day to help you with depression plus Sam-e. carmen ________________________________ From: beth <bethafish@...> candidiasis Sent: Mon, December 28, 2009 1:02:30 PM Subject: Does anybody know what I can do for these symptoms? For the past week, I've been dizzy (don't normally have this), body burns (have this frequently), stomach/GB/colon pain (have this frequently). Last Monday, my holistic M.D. said it was gastritis and prescribed OTC Prilosec (it has sucrose in it) which I don't think is working. On Wednesday, I saw the gastro doc's PA, she said that dizziness was not a typical symptom of gastritis. I still think it's the Candida overgrowth and it may be attacking my organs and/or blood now. I go for an ultrasound of my gallbladder, spleen, liver and pancreas on Wednesday. Supposed to have EGD and colonoscopy on 1/27. If I lay down or look up or to the side or walk, I get very dizzy. I'm scared as the last time I went to the hospital the doctor told me that wasn't the place to go for what I have. Where am I supposed to go? Most doctors don't believe in Candida overgrowth. Now, my holistic M.D. is out of town (my husband tried calling him yesterday). I have been trying to balance this yeast for four years and I seem to have gotten worse instead of better. I have often thought that the only way I'll get well is to try Bee's program. I just don't think I can do all that is required. Guest guest
Thanks for the info, Carmen! Giving up ALL the foods is the problem. I wish there was a place to go to get well where they only fed you the foods you're allowed. I do eat a healthy diet for the most part. I've been seeing a holistic doc for four years and a nutritionist that allow brown rice/products and some fruits. I have over 40 food sensitivities and have been giving up so much food over the years. Even when I'm strict I don't notice a difference. I've been on 100's of supplements over the years. Haven't noticed anything helping. Btw, Bee doesn't believe in Leaky Gut. The dizziness could be from an inner ear disturbance, a blocked artery in the neck, a bad disc, gastritis to name a few. I probably should go get checked out. I may have tried St. 's Wort years ago, but it gave me diarrhea. I don't really feel depressed right now, just in a lot of pain and dizzy. Did you get your Candida in balance? Do you drink the raw egg drink and do coffee enemas? Thanks again, Beth Does anybody know what I can do for these symptoms? Guest guest
Beth, of course you want the MDs to check you out but you must find out which of the foods is giving you this reaction. no one else will find it for you. Most likely you are dealing with a leaky gut and you do NOT need Bee (or anybody else) to believe it. you can get that tested but that will be out-of-network type of insurance. check out http://www.genovadiagnostics.com/ you'll need a doctor to order the lactulose/manitol http://www.genovadiagnostics.com/index.php?option=com_gpanel & Itemid=2 & task=view & \ nav=test & id=18 I'm struggling w/ my healing due to leaky gut (and recent small surgery w/ antibiotics). I just found out I react bad enough to eggs (including dizziness). But eggs are on the list of LECTINS. The egg drink never worked for me now I know why, and coffee enema didn't do much either. For the leaky gut to heal, one must stay away from lectins containing foods (I emailed the list to the group earlier) I say do the best you can with food but avoid lectins. Fruits if you must have, stick with berries because they are lowest in sugar. Take out lectins completely for 1 week, then re-introduce 1 each 4-5 days, you will know. They say white rice is safest to have when eliminating/introducing lectins. And please no processed food at all, you cook/prepare all you eat until you heal. Someone suggested the Budwig diet for leaky gut, I have to had a chance to look into it. hth, carmen ________________________________ From: beth <bethafish@...> candidiasis Sent: Mon, December 28, 2009 4:15:46 PM Subject: Re: Does anybody know what I can do for these symptoms? Guest guest
Thanks for responding, Carmen! If this is an inner ear infection, what do I do if they want to give me antibiotics? I don't think it's a food causing the dizziness as I've been eating the same few foods for years on this restricted diet. I do eat the foods I'm sensitive to which may be causing inflammation and burning in my body. I'll check out the Budweiser, I mean Budwig diet! ;o) Thanks, Beth Does anybody know what I can do for these symptoms? Guest guest
Beth, I had to comment on your post because of my experience with food intolerance. I have taken more antibiotics in the past three years than most people get in a lifetime. My problems started shortly after the first rounds three years ago, increased following subsequent rounds, and always seemed to spike about a month or so after a round. The connection seems obvious to me (though of course not to any doc I've seen). My chief symptoms are body rashes on my legs and arms. Nothing I do seems to help clear them, but I keep trying. I never had them before the antibiotics and can't seem to get rid of them since. I have been following a strict low carb, no sugar diet since August, and have been specifically following Bee's diet and supps for two months. In August, I had blood drawn and sent to Immunolab for IgG food intolerance testing. My no-no list was about 25 foods. They rated them from 1 to 4, with 4 being the most reactive. I had only 1's and 2's, and only three of the 25 were even a 2 (eggs, cow milk, and zucchini of all things). I spent over two months carefully avoiding even a molecule of anything on my sensitivity list, including even the 1's. I made no progress, noticed no improvements, and had no healing. So much for IgG testing. Bee may or may not be right about leaky gut, but I think she is right about food " intolerances " being mostly BS. You'd think that following a strict (and I mean strict) anticandida diet for going on five months now would have really helped, but it hasn't. I started Threelac about a month ago, and following Duncan's advice started Immunocal and selenium about a week or so ago. I've tried inulin, but it gives me instant bad gas and bloating, so I'm hoping the FOS in the Threelac will substitute. Regarding the Immunocal and Threelac, I hope Duncan or someone equally knowledgeable is reading this and can help me. Within a week of starting the Threelac, I actually started to see some slight improvement in my rashes, and had some classic die-off symptoms of congestion, headache, and general malaise. But then about two weeks after starting it, and about the time I started the whey isolate and selenium, my rashes started to become worse and more irritated. Is this a good sign? Can Immunocal cause a worsening of symptoms? Thanks to anyone who can give me some hope here. Roy T.
Guest guest
Trust me...you have leaky gut.....that many food sensitivities is classic leaky gut. http://www.enzymestuff.com/conditionleakygutresearch.htm Here's one link for you. You need high quality fish oil to heal your intestines. Check into Intesti-New or better GI -ReVive. Get thee to a naturopath and use Bee only for recipes. Guest guest
Beth, sorry this email got stock in the spam folder for no reason. I don't know what to say about the antibiotics - you'll have to trust your instinct. I just had kidney stone surgery and I had to take antibiotics myself... I took as little as possible during the urinary infection, broke it down in 2 sets, not sure that made any difference, but that's what I did. My DC told me to take S boullardi w/ the antibiotic and I took 2 S boullarddi per 1 antibiotic tablet. Then after the surgery I took less antibiotic then what they gave me. But overall I was lucky I did not have a bad infection before the stent and that I did not make another infection from the stent inside: lucky. So you'll have to follow your instincts. Double and tripple your probiotic intake but take s boullardi as well if you must take antibiotics. Eating the same foods - does not really give an answer, I was eating eggs just fine up until recently until I started reacting to eggs w/ lots of sleepiness blurred vision and brain fog. For the leaky gut " they " do say to avoid lectins until intestines heal..., eggs is on the lectins list. How many lectins do you have on your list? When I was a child and had a painful ear infection my mom placed a piece of garlic in my year and applied warm cloth over it... It was a bad night but I was better the next day... I wonder if they make garlic oil, like essential oil not mixed in other oil, that could be used as drops...Still we don't heal as well as kids do anymore :) hth, carmen ________________________________ From: beth <bethafish@...> candidiasis Sent: Mon, December 28, 2009 4:50:14 PM Subject: Re: Does anybody know what I can do for these symptoms?
