Hi, I'm new here too. However, I have experience in the area you question,

having raised 6 children and REALLY resisted medical advice to stop nursing

because of similar circumstances. Baby's thrush and diaper rash are,

obviously, yeast from candida she got from mom. I have very successfully

gotten these resolved by using the LateroFlora BOD probiotics both on the

diaper rash, like using powder, and on my fingertip into baby's mouth to

resolve the thrush directly and to get it into baby's system to get at the

cause of it all. No concern about giving too much as it is very good for

baby. I have used it with newborns with great success.

As for mom - it will take a little more work, but taking the BOD absolutely

will make a difference regardless of what else you do or don't do. Ideally,

take a 4 ounce container per week for a month or more and then slowly take

less as you find the level that keeps working. I find that after a while on

the BOD the cravings really subside, especially if I deprive myself of

candida food, meaning carbs and sweets.

Over time my experience is that all I did for myself by doing it this way

was keep the candida at bay because if I ran out of the BOD the cravings

came back and so did the symptoms. I have done some other things which when

consistently done made a huge difference in keeping my candida balanced, but

I wouldn't advise some of what I did while nursing because of the risk of

sharing the die off effects with baby.

Hope this helps.

Subject: new, nursing and with newborn

Hi,

I'm new here, and wondering, I don't seem to have pain, discomfort, bloating

or gassiness, but my daughter has thrush and a diaper rash, and i have EAC,

a rash that seems to have come from the antibiotic I was on a week before

her birth.

What is a " severe " form of candidiasis? I am recovering from a cereal

addiction, and have always had enormous cravings for sugary snacks, but

because I have an overworking metabolism thought it was ok.

I've been on the diet for 2.5 weeks with a few cheats- didn't know I

couldn't use a butter substitute- i snuck a rice cereal, and some dairy. How

far did I just put myself back? I also have been using a soy butter... can I

use organic milk butter? why/why not?

It has been suggested to me to stop nursing and take baby to a formula, but

I don't like that idea... not sure why, but i can't imagine that a formula

would be healthier ... help on my questions from a veteran would be so

helpful- as my daughter and I are really sruggling. I also have a son with

autism- thinking the antibiotics and yeast are responsible... anyone?

Are you taking a probiotic at all? That would be my first step. Also, maybe a

yeast cleansing product. I use one by Solaray, but it's herbal and if you have

allergies it may not be right for you. Just because you have carb/sugar

cravings doesn't mean you have candida. Have you tried the spit test yet? Set

a glass of water next to your bed at night. First thing when you wake up, spit

into the glass. Check on it 20 minutes later and if it's stringy or sinks to

the bottom, you have candida overgrowth. If it stays put, you are ok.

As for your son with autism, yeast could be part of the problem. Also look at

food allergies and bacteria. I have two kids with tons of food allergies. My

daughters affect her behaviorally. At 2 1/2 yrs she only said about 15 words on

a consistent basis. Now, almost 1 1/2 yrs later and she talks nonstop. It

started when we went GFCF, but continues to improve as I learn more about her

allergies. I highly recommend joining the group on . It

is full of helpful information.
