Guest guest
Thats a good site on the coconut. They have been giving me diflucan once a week, and its hardly helping. So my plan was.. Get a boost from the diflucan, and hit the candida thru diet. coconut, garlic. Just things to eat, probiotics. The problem is, i have no appetite. I'm a little person and normally i can put away tons of food. Since this happened, theres no appetite there. lost ten lbs and trying to force myself to eat. Thank you. cindy
Guest guest
Hi , I know where you are coming from. I lost 12 pounds over a 8 week period. I became very concerned because I just could not eat. Like you, I had no appetite, and found it hard to let food go down. I will tell you that as the Candida is managed, your appetite will return. During September and October of this year, I was on Nizoral (30 days), Nystatin (liquid compounded with Stevia rather than Sucrose). I am now on Amphotericin-B and Diflucan (for 30 days), as well as treatment for Adrenal Fatigue. (adrenal rebuilder, etc). I have seen a significant improvement in overall body functions as I treated candida, ate properly and addressed Adrenal Fatigue issues. My appetite is much improved, my weight has stabilized, energy increased, all cravings gone. I am now introducing things like basmati rice and cream of buckwheat into my diet. The best advice I can give you on appetite is as follows: 1. Eat small, frequent feedings (rather than large meals) 2. If you can tolerate adding Extra Virgin Coconut Oil to your veggies, try a tsp with your vegetables and increase as you can tolerate. 3. If you can tolerate it, try to add grains like Cream of Buckwheat or Quinoa. Go easy and test your response. 4. Bake a yam, and mash with cinnamon and coconut oil. I keep some in the refrigerator. 5. I have my own personal recipe for tolerating granny apples. I slice them, saute' them in a small amount of water until soft. I add cinnamon and erythritol (sweetener that does not grow candida), and continue to saute' them until they have the texture I desire. This is something that you can eat, it will not grow candida, and may add some flavor to an otherwise dull diet. Hope some of these ideas help. This process requires patience, and there will be days that you will feel discouraged. Don't hesitate to write about those feelings, as that process helps with the healing just as much as the nutrients, etc. Carolyn > > Thats a good site on the coconut.
