These do not have gluten.

-- Amaranth and Quinoa?

On a REPUTABLE Celiac website, there is no mention of Amaranth and Quinoa

having Gluten. Will someone tell me if it does or doesn't?

Thanks,

Bonnie

They may not have high amounts of gluten, but they still contain insoluble fiber

which irritates the celiac disease.

if it is a candida issue, whether or not it has gluten is moot. quinoa,

amaranth, millet and buckwheat yes are more like seeds than grains. so they have

low or no sugar BUT do have high carbs! and the carbs in our systems convert to

sugar, as does alcohol.

so IF candida is the issue, NO grains are ok, not even the 4 I quoted above. (NO

fruit, NO high carb veges, either. I learned the *hard way.* I DO this diet

RIGHT now!!! Oh boy!)

Bonnie, I have read that amaranth and quinoa do not contain gluten.  But, I

sure as heck can't eat them due to the carbs.
