Guest guest
Dam this is freaking me out too, since they are thinking I have lupus, I am thinking what if I loose my hair. Have you had an ana test? I think we talked about this on the phone. someone was telling me sea kelp is great for your hair, someone else told me something else and looser foggy head I can't think of it. Do you have a regular rhuemy? can you call me tonight girl we need to talk! On the brighter side I got my wedding dress...yes I am nutso, and just to tell you guys where I bought it at everyone was a twig, no boobs there, those clothes are so teeny you cannot have boobs LOLOL So my dress has spaghetti straps and no I will not be wearing a bra with this number and it looked great, of course my tan helps. If I have lupus I will have to give up the tanning but for now too bad, it looks so nice. I told my fiance I look like a 13 year old in it and he is so sweet he said he can't wait to see it. Alright so we are uncomventional and not having a big wedding(lots of reasons we have to do it fast) but I will let you guys know whats up. He is so supportive, I called him yesterday and told him that I have an elevated ana again and that they want to treat me with some lupus drugs or type drugs and he said " I would marry you if you had cancer it does not matter we will beat this thing " so there ya go. We have pondered the thought that had I not gotten breast implants and been so ill that i was home surfing the net we would never have met, so sometimes something good comes out of something dark and we have to try to see the beauty and good in everysituation. Guest guest
Hi , I did not have the bald spots on my scalp from hair loss, but I did have rotten looking hair that broke off and it really thinned out alot. I was really saddened by this, and did what I thought would help....Dr. Weil suggests upping your intake of Omega-3 fatty acids with evening primrose oil, borage oil, flaxseed oil, and eating salmon. I did not really notice much improvement, but then again, I am still "healing" from this illness, whatever it is. The one thing I found that I believe has helped me alot is the use of essential oils on my scalp. I started investigating the use of essential oils, and then bought my supplies, which included a carrier oil, such as jojoba oil, sweet almond oil, or grapeseed oil, and the various essential oils that have been reputed to help with hair growth. These include Bay, Lavender, Rosemary, Thyme, Atlas Cedarwood, and Ylang Ylang. I put several drops of each, along with my carrier oil, in a one ounce glass bottle and shake it up. Then I massage this oil into my scalp and leave it on for about an hour. I usually wrap my hair in a towel when I do this, after first putting on a disposable shower cap. This helps to keep the heat in. Alternatively, you could slightly warm the carrier oil before you add the essential oils. I do this about once a week. My husband and I have both noticed how much more healthy my hair looks since I have been doing this. I don't have the short broken pieces of hair that I used to have. It will take me more time to evaluate if my hair is growing in any thicker. I have heard from other women whose hair loss stopped after explant, but I am not sure what they did specifically. I would think that getting oxygen to the area would help, like with exercise, or inversion yoga postures. I have been wanting to do that, but as usual, haven't fit it into my daily schedule of things to do....there's always something that I don't get done... Hope you find this info helpful! You may want to look into the essential oils. Young Living seems to be one of the better companies, but I've used the kinds I have found at my health food store for now. Guest guest
Hi , Sorry to hear your having such a hard time of it. I do hope you'll see an upswing soon in your health. I still have my implants and have lost my hair like crazy for the past 5 yrs. It got really bad this past fall and over Xmas along with extreme fatigue that I went to the doc's and had some blood work done. It showed I was anemic. I started taking iron supplements with B12. I noticed a decrease in hair loss abt a week after starting them. After taking these for about 3 weeks I had a live blood analysis done and it still showed I was anemic and the microbiologist said that you have to take B12 sublingual separate from the iron. I started doing this along with other supplements specific to my blood type and my hair loss has slowed down completely and is returning to its normal healthy state. In your weakened state I do not recommend that you run out and buy some iron supplements but rather have your doc do a test for anemia and go from there. Personally, I do believe that once your body has returned to a normal healthy state, your hair will grow back in. Take care, Jackie ----- Original Message ----- From: MissBoop0827@... Guest guest
Hair loss seems to be a pretty common side effect from implants in allot of women, I personally always loose allot of hair and am not sure if it was or is related to implants, I have long thick hair so I never really missed it ha ha, seriously though I have heard lots of women say that they are loosing all there hair and ready for a wig, so it is def a problem for implant victims. I don't think that you would be a candidate for the surgery your taling about the tram flap is also a dangerous legnthy and expensive procedure, like $50,000 and risky too and you have to have had a mastectomy to get that done. You still have breasts left, they are probably just very small as are mine, but Dr Feng is great she made nice little boobs out of what I had, which wasn't much, yes it is traumatic though. I am curious how long you had your silicone implants and are your saline implants smooth or textured. It is very possible too, that you have old silicone scar tissue left in you, or that some of the gel from your old implants leached out, or a number of other possiblities. i would give Dr Feng a call and ask her opinion if you are worried about it and really want them out. I sent you and email about the costs and such... Take care and good luck, In @y..., rkatz1@n... wrote: > Hi all, I just joined this group. I have hair loss and saline > implants. Guest guest
I only had ripling on my breasts at the edges of my implants, however, i did discover some swollen lymph nodes in my breast after implantation. These are gone now that the implants are gone. As for the hair loss I do know others who have said that the hairloss stopped once the implants were out, but I am not sure where they are because they got better and kind of disappeared. I do know that MSM is supposed to be a great supplement for hair...nails and joints etc..I have been taking it for a few years so this may explain why I still have a great head of hair, though like I said I do loose allot but I cannot say what is what, if it is normal or not, cause my hair hasn't been this long in years, it is really long now and I think I notice it on the floor more. No matter what I feel implants def cause all of the problems, it is documented. Good luck in your choice to remove your implants and stick with us we are here for you! Guest guest
As far as i know has still got the hair loss symptoms going on, I think it is better now but still not completely, however has something different too, she has underactive immune, and they are not sure why since most implant illnesses involve overactive immune, but I will look into it for sure. There is another girl I think who said her hair was finally staying on her head but I can't think of who it was darn it!
