Alobar, I found out that every new autoship can get ONE bottle sent out, not a

whole bunch. Sorry, I tried; it's still a free bottle sent out for everyone who

goes on autoship though. Yes, you'd need a credit card or a paypal debit/credit

card; I'd suggest getting a debit/credit card from somewhere to do online

purchases.

I was wondering the same thing since it turned out to be a bogus offer and just

an effort to promote a product he profits from...an exact definition of SPAM.

Speaking as a moderator on this list, I have no problem with any of

Duncan's posts. If someone joins this list, gives no useful info,

then talks a lot oabout multi-level-marketing products, I will write

the person off-list to talk with him orher.

Duncan, on the other hand, has contributed many many informative posts

about supplements he does not sell, about research into problems, and

dialogs with individuals here.

To me, that is why I do not feel Duncan's recent posts about the offer

from SomaLife is a problem.

I rarely read *every single* post on this list, or any list. I skim.

I read what seems interesting and/or useful to me. I am free to use

the page down or delete key.

I would not call making a mistake to be a bogus offer. I make plenty

of mistakes. I feel embarassed by them. But such is life when one is

a human.

I called the number he gave.  The offer was bogus.  In order to have a free

And, besides, that is beyond the point.  The real point we were trying to make

is being allowed to promote a product.  (And it's not even coconut oil

related.)  It was our understanding spam was not permitted.

OT--For those of you who don't have a credit or debit card or don't want

one, you can sign up on Paypal and they have a sort of " mastercard " (they

call it a secure card) which you can use for online purchases requiring

credit cards, and it will take the purchase price out of your checking

acct.......the original purpose of the card was for people who didn't feel

secure

using their own credit cards online for purchases, and wanted a card they

could use ONE TIME and the number couldn't be used again.........it's a

one-time use credit card from your checking acct.....

As a jewelry maker/seller, I have been using paypal for YEARS and for my

personal use and started with this new (it's called paypal secure card) and

I LOVE IT......I stopped using my credit cards a while ago (it's amazing

how much you can save my cutting this out and paying cash), but you get stuck

when you're trying to buy online and need one........this solves that

problem.........In all the years--10+---I've been using paypal, I've never had

a problem, I feel they are trustworthy......(my opinion)........

Anyway, this is a plug in that sits on your browser, (I have it sitting on

my IE) so when you find something you want to buy, you just click on it

and it draws up a " secure card " , which you can use one time or check a box to

use it more than once at the same merchant..........I have even used it

when I need to give a credit card by phone....

Hi Theta,

I'm guessing that no one is unhappy about your post.

You may not realize what an important contributor Duncan is/has been to this

group. Duncan provides PROFESSIONAL advice on nutrition, detox, etc. It was

long ago established that VCO is useful towards a healthful lifestyle. And, to

that end, Duncan has been (IMO) extremely generous in offering other suggestions

towards age management and quality of life. SomaLife has been one of his

suggestions over the years. That Duncan is following through on its

availability is testament to Duncan's dedication. Remember, sharing on this

group forum is a free service that we offer to each other.

Perhaps you're just not understanding the bigger picture. We all want to learn

and share and be well.

Again, folks, I thought a free bottle of gHP could be sent out to all my

friends, but it's not over yet. Since people who sign up for an automatic

shipment are the only ones who can trigger ONE free bottle to be sent, getting

many out obviously requires the involvement of many people in the group.

Now, I don't expect that much from the group as a whole given the reaction of a

few, but there still exists the potential for many people to send a free bottle

to other group or family members. Autoship can be canceled any time.

No, , I was commenting, just like you, that we can all use the delete key

in a sarcastic slant, since people aren't using the advice they are dishing out,

such as you.  So, why don't you go ahead and use it  instead of calling me a

hypocrite...which, BTW, you are.  Talk about the pot calling the kettel black.

The germane point was the importance of keeping this list spam free.  I guess

that point is just too complex for some people to 'get'. There are products I

would love to promote that would be of tremedous value.  But, that is not why we

are here.
