Guest guest
Wil, so anti fungals kill the good bacteria as well as the bad? I thought it only killed the bad. to others, my naturopath told me the bad bacteria will become immune to anti fungals so they should only be used short term when you are getting sick. however I read what said about rotating anti fungals so now I'm confused on this subject. I just don't bother taking antifungals now. I did just start taking candex, which is causing me to break out so obviously causing die off and now I'm wishing maybe I should not have started using it. Guest guest
Jess-Anne, This concept of good and bad bacteria is a myth, you learn the truth in the first year as a student of microbiology. There is only balance and pathogenic when it comes to bacteria in the GI tract. This myth of good and bad bacteria has been pushed as a marketing tool for the nutriceutical industry. 80% of our immunity is comprised of over 700 different strains of microorganisms that are living in our GI tract. Some are colonizing/non-transient and some are non-colonizing/transient. The different microorganism consist of bacteria, fungi, yeasts, molds and viruses. The issue I have with using natural or Rx antifungals is fungi can change form as a survival instict when its life is being threatened. A fungal overgrowth of any kind is a sign of an imbalance in the microorganism population within the GI tract. It is the microorganisms which hold each other in balance. When using any kind of anti-fungal it throws the balance of even more causing a bigger imbalance. My opinions and education are derived from mostly non-medical and non-allopathic view. I have studied extensively how the body works from a " NATURAL " biological and electrical view, as we are natural and electrical beings pulsing with the rhythms of nature not synthetic. I hope you appreciate a natural and different view. Guest guest
Wil, that struck a cord with me. We learned in the oils class that the fungu morph into something else just to live...we were told to rotate oils to get the best results. I keep forgetting that these little things are live colonys! > > Jess-Anne, > This concept of good and bad bacteria is a myth, you learn the truth in the > first year as a student of microbiology. Guest guest
Hi Wil, thanks very much for explaining this. It seems to make sense. everything works together. I very much appreciate a natural and different view on all this stuff are you familiar with the product Candex? It eats the cell wall of the yeast and is not supposed to be an anti fungal. I just started taking this, do you think it's ok to take? The one advantage I seem to be noticing is I am able to fall asleep at night, so I think it's helping. and to everyone I thought I would add, I don't use essential oils internally but externally they are very healing. great for massage, they can really help with the emotions and I believe your state of mind and emotions are huge in getting better. Essential oils do have contraindications though so one must be careful. I'm a certified aromatherapist if anyone would like to know about any contraindications. thank you! Guest guest
You know what this (everything in this thread) is sooo confusing it makes me dizzy reading it and leaves me (and possibly others) wondering then just what in the hell IS the right thing <s> to do when trying to rid oneself of this pesky illness? It's the same when reading all the conflicting information out there about what diet to be on and what diet is the wrong one. One group of people say eat this and another group says " ohh--no--you can't eat that--it's toxic " ---kind of reminds me of Alice in Wonderland or at least how you felt AFTER having read it. Maybe I'm just speaking for myself and nobody can relate to what I'm saying--I don't know. I know that in the end one has to just figure out what is right for just you, but on the way you also can end up wasting money buying expensive health food products as well as probiotics & vitamins & antifungals that some of the people are screaming at you not to use & /or equipment you may end up never using. Eventually I am sure I will figure it all out happily but right now I am about to scream and pull my hair out simultaneously while biting my nails as I squeamishly begin to put in a pricey order at Wholesale Vitamins and/or Vitacost that I may regret purchasing <hope I don't>!! Am I making sense? Diane
Guest guest
Ok, take a deep breath There are many things that people try and some work for one, some work for others. The main idea is to create a balance in the body. It really is not a waste to buy vitamins when you figure out the basics to buy...then when you are ways long working on figuring things out you add to it. One thing some of us are pushing is the natural raw food that has all the vitamins and minerals in them. Many people can not do that so they work on the next best thing...that next best thing has to come from your own research into your $$$ the amount of time you can spend exercing, how much water you drink...all of that comes into play well before you start buying a lot of stuff. Getting in balance is not just about putting something in the mouth and wait to see if things are happening...it took a while for you to get where you are and it will take a minute to get better. Example, if you buy a lot of stuff and your body is not ready for the possible detox reaction, you could create more problems then you are ready for...brain fog, headaches and so much more. That is why people let you know about the side effects of things that they have taken. The other thing...you do not want to do anything tooo fast. Just imagine, you killed all the parasites in you body and you are constipated...they, the corpses would have no way to get out except to do more nasty things to the body just trying to get things fixed up. So, it is a good thing to just sit back and look and listen and see what fits for you. I hope that helped...I am very late for bed! > > You know what this (everything in this thread) is sooo confusing it > makes me dizzy reading it and leaves me (and possibly others) wondering then > just what in the hell IS the right thing <s> to do when trying to rid oneself > of this pesky illness? Guest guest
Hi Diane, I felt the same way with all the conflicting information. I got so stressed out about it all that I had to take a break from reading anything on the internet and/or forums. Then it took a bit of trial and error and process of elimination to see what worked for me. I felt like yogurt made me break out so I stopped eating it, now I've read if you take inulin it shouldn't be a problem, so I'm adding it in and seeing how I do, I'll just cut it out again if I don't feel it works. also have you checked out www.iherb.com ?? they have pretty good pricing, better than what I have seen elsewhere.
