Guest guest
Bonnie - that is very interesting about the liver needing to metabolize the progesterone before absorbing it when taken orally. Didn't know that for sure! You are quite the authority! I'm curious if you or anyone else notices any physical sensations after putting the cream on? I think it gave me a bit of a hot flash! ~ Re: IN CRISIS - ulterine tumors One more thing. If at all possible (and this is for all women in or near Menopause) it is FAR BETTER to use a Topical Progesterone Cream at 20 mg. per day than Oral Progesterone at 200 mg. per day. Why put the Liver to all that extra work by taking 200 mg. in order to actually only receive 20 mg.after the first pass through the Liver. Topically it is very well absorbed and assimilated and the Liver is spared. Bonnie Re: IN CRISIS - ulterine tumors Hello there: Uterine Fibroids are strictly dependant on Estrogen for growth. Unless you are very thin, you could manage fine without any additional Estrogen in any form. What from I've read in several books, you ONLY need Progesterone at 20 mg. per day with one week off each month. This Progesterone (in my case) shrunk all my fibroids, so there is no bleeding anymore, (for 10 years) which can send women running to their doctors looking for a Hysterectomy which is totally unecessary in most cases.
