HI Shirl,

Glad to see you posting! I am sorry to hear that you are having these "toxic" feelings, though. I know that awful feeling, and I want you to get better so much.

I have a question for you, first, and then I will offer some suggestions. My suggestions will have two parts, the first which might or might not apply to you.

Is the drug you are taking supposed to help you produce more stomach acid to digest your foods more, or is it to help empty your stomach contents into the small intestine?

If it is the first case, then I can offer a couple ideas, and you might want to work with your doctor to see if you can get off the medicine. If it is the second case, then you will probably have to keep taking it.

To help with low stomach acid, my naturopath gave me a supplement called HCL-Plus. It is basically betaine hydrochloride, along with glutamic acid and pepsin. I belive this can be bought at the health food store.

Secondly, to help with digestion of foods, it is necessary to take digestive enzymes. I think most ill people can benefit from these enzymes, especially if your diet consists of alot of cooked foods. Raw foods have their own enzymes in them and therefore, don't depend upon your body to produce them.(cooking destroys enzymes).

Breaking down food with enzymes, (and supplemental acid when necessary), is especially beneficial to those with autoimmune symptoms, because we usually have some type of leaky gut syndrome. This is characterized by malabsorption, when large food particles are allowed to be absorbed, which the body will recognize as foreign, and set up an immune response to it. This produces large antigen-antibody complexes, and can create joint pain and other troubling symptoms related to allergies. Breaking down foods into their smallest components and amino acids is desireable. Chewing foods really well, and taking supplements will help this. Healing the gut should also be a goal, and fasting can help this.

I have taken digestive enzymes from TwinLabs, and am currently using Prepzymes, by AIM. This contains Protease, amylase, lipase, cellulase, lactase, sucrase, maltase, garlic, and papaya.

OK, now if that scenario does not apply to you, I can offer one more suggestion to help with toxicity and reducing it in the body. We have discussed colon cleansing several times on this group, so hopefully this suggestion won't seem odd, but I can assure you that it is a very vital one and has been around for many years. The net will have much info on it. You can look up colonics and colema boards as keywords. I recommend the use of coffee enemas.

The coffee enema has been used to reduce toxicity, with spectacular results. Dr. Max Gerson was the genius who discovered the lifesaving effects of using coffee enemas to remove toxicity from dying cancer patients and was able to cure terminally ill patients. My naturopath himself has admitted that he and his wife use coffee enemas every morning of their lives, even on their yearly cruise!

My husband and I use coffee enemas almost daily as well, and our attention to colon cleansing has made a big difference in our health. My husband said "no way" at first, but now he beats me to the coffee.

Here is how you do it:

1) In a glass pot (not a coffee maker) add 3 Tablespoons of organic ground coffee beans to one quart of pure or distilled (not tap) water. I bought a small coffee grinder at Wal-Mart for $13. Store your organic coffee beans in the freezer to maintain their freshness, and do not use decaffienated beans. I buy whatever is on sale, as long as they are organic.

2) Bring coffee to a boil, and simmer for 15 minutes.

3) Strain the coffee through a sieve to remove the large grounds and let cool. You will have some silt, and that is OK.

4) Put the lukewarm coffee into an enema bag. Retain coffee for 7 to 15 minutes.

I normally do a lukewarm clear water enema before I do the coffee enema, to make sure I get out anything that might be in the way first.

The coffee, when used as an enema, dilates the bile ducts. I will post my reference to this procedure from the Gerson website (www.gerson.org)

If you don't feel like doing the coffee enema, then the least I would suggest for you is to do regular enemas. I got an enema bag at Wal-Mart for about $10, so these are cheap therapies!

Take care Shirl,

Patty

Hi Patty. I was wondering if you you've got any ideas about this. I've been on this stomach med. for a while now, a couple months. I know it's building up in my body and I feel it...toxic. I have to take it or I can't eat a thing. It there anything I can do to get some of this medicine out of my body with stopping taking it? Thanks Shirley

Hi Shirl,

I just am at a loss here, with the stomach acid issue...

The fatigue one is something that we all have dealt with. It is more than likely a lack of oxygen at the cellular level, due to a number of things, but all boiling down to toxicity. We need to help you get your cells to release their toxicity and begin rebuilding.

I really think you should do the enemas, or coffee enemas, no matter how tired you are. I would come down there and make the coffee for you myself if I could! I don't think this would be a cure all for you, but there has to be a start somewhere. There are other things...because cells can be toxic from a number of things. Here are some of my thoughts on this:

Heavy metals--like mercury fillings in your teeth. This can rob your cells of their ability to transport oxygen, by taking the place of the iron in your hemoglobin. Iron transports oxygen in the cells. Getting rid of heavy metals quickly entails using chelation therapy, but you can also help your body do it by eating green foods, such as cilantro, parsley, wheatgrass, and lots of garlic.

Clumped red blood cells make sticky blood, which then has a hard time getting through those itty bitty capillaries, slowing down your oxygenation. So anything that you can do to unstick your blood may help. Garlic is good for that, too! Medically, these methods are used to help with unclumping red blood cells:1) methylene blue2) ozone3) magnet4) Homozon5) H2O2 (hydrogen peroxide)Shirl, have you tried Hydrogen peroxide baths? Use three large bottles of hydrogen peroxide per tub, and you can add epsom salts to that. You can take these baths daily, if desired, and every other day if possible.

Can you get any ozone treatments? Or drink ozonated water? How about trying the Homozon? (See it here: http://www.oxystore.com/homozon.asp, but order it here for the cheapest price: http://www.azurefarm.com/ProductDetails.cfm?catalogue_no=HP055 ) I have used this product, with good results. It is non-toxic.

Magnets cause a polarization of red blood cells, due to their iron content. The polarization makes them repel one another and move apart, which makes them more flexible. Magnets can be used locally to improve oxygen supplies and speed healing. I have used them on my knees before, and haven't had any trouble in my knees in months.

Bacteria, candida and parasites also produce toxins that add to the burden that will reduce your ability to use oxygen well.

Your body may also be auto-intoxicating with carbon monoxide. When the body is poorly oxygenated, the sugar that is burned in oxygen by the cell for energy burns poorly, producing carbon monoxide, instead of carbon dioxide.

Your goal must be to oxygenate your cells, and dump toxins, and rebuild with good foods.

I wish I had some simple answers for you, Shirl....and these are the ones that I can come up with right now that are not that expensive. I hope you can try some of them.

Patty

Thanks for the reply Patty. I've actually got too much stomach acid. I take something to suppress it and it's a very high dose and I still have acid. I need something to empty my stomach but nothing works for me. I've tried everything. I've considered the coffee enemas but I'm so fatigued that it's a lot of trouble. I haven't left the house in a few weeks. It's hard for me to prepare something to eat so I guess I'm looking for something simple. Shirley
