I would agree with you--any doctor, nutritionist, etc that has something to sell

along with their information really decreases their creditability.

What do you guys things about LiquiDaily Oxy-Aloe?

Real or Scam?

http://phoenixnutritionals.com/ldo.html

The doctor that is endorsing this product says that anti-candidia diets only

supress symptoms but don't toally cure it, as soon as someone stops their no

sugar diet and starts eating any sugars again it comes right back. I say it's a

scam, anytime someone has something to sell you and something different that

what most of the other ND say then you have to wonder? But at the same time I've

been on a anti-candida diet for months at a time and my symptoms come back very

quickly almost instantly if I " cheat " even a little and god forbid have a

grapefruit or something.

Here's a quote

" Myths About Candida

We have already discussed the so-called 'candida or yeast diets'. Following

such diets as the Yeast Connection Diet or others, can provide relief from

symptoms of candida overgrowth, but will do virtually nothing to actually

eliminate the yeast in the body. The concept that high yeast, high starch, high

sugar diet 'feeds' candida is not exactly correct. In truth, we don't 'eat'

candida and by eliminating other foods, we cannot destroy it. Reducing those

foods allows the body to better handle the candida problem and to some small

extent helps to prevent accelerated candida overgrowth, but in order to

eliminate the problem we need to look elsewhere. Another myth surrounding

candida or systemic candida is the fact that it can be caused by the presence of

toxins such as heavy metals. There is a lot of information about heavy metals,

especially mercury from tooth fillings, causing candida. This of course is

biologically impossible. Heavy metals of all kinds can, over time, depress the

immune function of the body. This can make candida indirectly, worse along with

a host of other immune-related problems. Eliminating heavy metals from the body

is a good idea, but in and of itself will not eliminate the candida or human

yeast problem. While detoxification of the body will help to eliminate mercury

and other heavy metals, the link between mercury and candida is still not valid.

In speaking of detoxification, another myth about candida is that it can be

eliminated with various detox programs. While detoxification is important and

effective in eliminating the waste or by products of candida metabolism,

detoxification alone will not destroy the candida organism. Herbal extracts,

found in health food stores and often recommended by nutritionists, can be

somewhat helpful, especially if the candida overgrowth is still confined to the

intestinal tract. Once it becomes systemic however, these products provide very

little relief to the sufferer. It is sad that such myths are so extensive in the

literature and on the Internet beca use they can do little to eliminate the

actual cause of candida, systemic candida and extensive candida overgrowth. "

The doctor's scam starts with the disinformation that candida is not controlled

by diet. Even when systemic, diet has a lot to do with its control. Bowel

candida and the dysbiosis that causes it are both caused AND controlled by diet,

although it's true you can't " destroy " it. The scam continues though by

mentioning " totally curing candida " at all, even with a magic potion; there's no

such thing as a cure because candida is part of your natural ecology all the

time and has been since you were a baby. It's not a disease to be eradicated at

all, it's a bad overgrowth that should be controlled. The guy comes off like an

allopath.

Stabilized oxygen supplements do not provide enough oxygen to be legendary; that

honour falls to ozone and peroxide, and to a certain extent the most potent of

the singlet (O1 rather than O2) oxygen-delivering preparations such as magnesium

peroxide (Homozon, BiOxy, Colosan etc). We in this group are using them but not

stabilized oxygen products because our information is that they don't deliver.

Aloe vera is legendary for soothing and speeding healing.

Mercury is a biological suppressor that allows bowel lining colonization by

pathogens as it strips away your cellular antioxidants.

Detox alone won't cure candida as he suggests, but toxins are also biological

suppressors that allow colonization of the bowel lining and other areas by

pathogens as toxins from ALL sources strip away your cellular antioxidant

values.

More info on oxygen therapies and on aloe vera can be had from the specialty

groups oxyplus and ozonetherapy; ozone guru moderator Dr. Pessman advocates

both, and rightly so:

oxyplus

ozonetherapyy

Excuse me for only scanning the included post ....I'd be interested in reading

the doctor's explanation of the cause and cure of candida based on what he knows

today ;) and I think he may learn something fom groups like this one.

I vote: scam

I think credibility is not depleted by having products, like the Life Extension

Foundation does, backed with valid data, but by indicating the products possess

benefits that are not proven.

This " Doctor " Whiting is a PhD, not an MD, and it doesn't say what the PhD is

in.

You should get your thyroid checked; hypothyroid goes with candida; also get

your zinc/copper ratio checked.
