Hello everyone. I am in WK 2 and I cheated last night!

I didnt want to but some friends took me to a Mexican

Restaurant for a late birthday dinner. Ii had a medium

Margarite (bad, bad) chips and salsa, and a bowl of

tortilla soup. Normally I would have eaten much more.

I feel so guilty!

I know some of you take free meals instead of free

days. I guess I'll do that this week. My free day was

supposed to be Sunday. It's my father in laws 60th

birthday and we are having a big party and I know I am

going to eat! I guess I can try to just have a free

meal there.

What do you ladies think??

Tammy

I say, what's in the past is done. Treasure the memories you made

with your friends that evening, and know that your one free meal was

perfectly " authorized. "

Now, about the upcoming event, use that as an opportunity to have

control of your body's nutrition. Like Stasia says, you always have

a choice. Eat before you go, drink lots of water while you are

there, concentrate on the relationships and connection you are

making with the people instead of what everyone is eating. If the

gig is longer than a few hours, take a protein bar or shake with you

to keep yourself satiated.

In the long run, BFL is for life. Obstacles are inevitable. It's

what you do with them that matters.

That's just my two cents, anyway. :-)

In the EFL book Bill talks about a trip he is on..........he was on a trip,

missed some meals and found himself in the hotel room raiding the mini-bar.

It is kind of funny. Anyways he did not call this a " free meal " he called

it an " unplanned " free day. So I would say you had your free day for the

week!

Body for LIFE...Keep that in mind girl. DO NOT feel guilty this will only hurt

you in the long run. You took a free meal and enjoyed it...Good for you. You

deserve it with all the hard work you have done. DO NOT punish yourself for it.

Have fun at your dad's party as well. Just take it easy, and know that your

gonna work hard the rest of the week, and do not weight yourself after your

cheat days. If you do that you should be fine, and it will not make a

difference in the long run....think for life, and enjoy!!!!

  • 2 years later...

3 weeks into this diet and I have been a bit less strict with my diet

the past few days. Today I even had a piece of dark chocolate!

does anyone have any tips on how I can get back on track? and what I

can do to avoid temptation? i think my biggest problem is that I'm not

planning meals or keeping safe snacks/meals in the fridge and ready to

go.

i am on a no dairy and no gulten candida diet... i'm not a big fan of

meat so i'm finding it a bit difficult.

thanks in advance,

christine
