Guest guest
Hello all, I've recentlyl come to the realization that my adrenals are quite exhausted, despite being on a very low carb, clean type of diet for many months, and less strict for nearly two years. The most commonly reccommended supplements for this condition seem to be Vit C, unrefined salt, and a glandular product. Well, I am concerned about the addition of the extra salt, as I stopped adding any salt to my food several months ago (I still get salt from my butter, fish, meat, and nitrate free bacon) when some bloodwork I had done while really sick came back showing low potassium levels (granted, I was really sick, hadn't been eating, and had been drinking copius amounts of lemon and salt water). I am aware of the necessary 5:1 ratio of potassium:sodium. I normally get a great deal of potassium in my diet as I eat tons of leafy greens everyday. I also find that I crave salt, however since I've stopped adding it to my food I do crave it much less. Under the circumstances, how important do you believe the addition of the extra salt would be? Any other particular reccommendation for adrenal support? Thanks,
