<< For those of you fighting a candida overgrowth (and perhaps we all are),

what are you including and eliminating in your diet? Avoiding sugar,

alcohol, and yeast are givens, but what about fruit? Grains? Nuts? Starches

such as sweet potatoes, parsnips, beets? I think I eat plenty of protein

(at least 60 grams of animal protein per day) and fat (at least 40 grams

per day), and I eat a fair amount of non-starchy veggies, but this doesn't

seem sufficient to keep my weight up (and I'm currently hypothyroid --- my

weight may really plummet once my thyroid gets going!). >>

Hi all

I am presently fighting a candida flair-up which I had conquered about a year

ago. I allowed myself to have some grains in a morning cereal for about three

weeks and I think thats what caused it. I eat no sugar, alcohol, yeast

containing products, fruit, all white starches or carbohydrates, most dairy,

coffee, and all grains. It really does leave a pretty good diet. I eat

pretty much all vegetables, plenty of protein, nuts except peanuts and

pistaschios, real butter, olive oil, and yams occasionaly. Pop corn the

experts disagree on (I seem to be able to eat it). I use a cyclamte

artificial sweetener in combination with stevia when I need something sweet

like lemonade.

I also in addition to all the supplements take caprilic acid, kyolic garlic,

lots of fiber in psyllium and flax, and FOS.
