Guest guest
No it actually isn't, and the stuff you would buy in Walmart is no different to any other over processed oils. It should be extra virgin or cold processed and should be solid in the cold. Dee -- Re: ~ Coconut Oil Hi Bonnie, I bought my Coconut Oil at Walmart. Guest guest
Kathy my dear, you can take a tablespoon with each meal or start off gradually but 3-4 tbsp. daily are recommended for adults. What a difference it has made for me. Guest guest
Kathy, It does make a difference. As Dee said, you want extra virgin and cold pressed. If it is refined or over processed, you are not getting all the nutritional value. You can read up on it here: http://www.tropicaltraditions.com/virgin_coconut_oil2.htm If you are taking one that is not as good, you may still see results but it won't be as good as if you were using a brand that uses good processing techniques. Its like that old saying " you get what you pay for " ! Tina > > Hi everyone, > I have had Coconut Oil in my cupboard for maybe a year. Guest guest
Yes, I thought you meant that but some stores carry brands that some people don't like so it's all about the tastebuds. Guest guest
Coconut is derived from a number of methods some include chemical processing with bad things like hexane. Others include processing that through heat kills what is good in the oil and others still use various methods that each claims to be the best. Then some package in glass which is a safer container, not phalates, phenol, etc. But at least if what you're looking for is chemical free, virgin and organically grown you're on the right path. Guest guest
Greetings All The name of the game is balance. If you do not balance what you take, then as you help one thing, another can suffer. Take a whole food drink to get the balance. Guest guest
Sunny: I lost weight taking all that fat, because I cut way back on the carbs, so most of my energy came from the Coconut Oil. That's exactly how it works, revs up your Metabolism, your Thyroid, your cells get fed and on and on. How did I deal with not sleeping? I had to cut back from the recommended daily amount. Guest guest
Sol: I still haven't figured it out. I started off with 3 1/2 tbsp. (not good ... slept very little), then the next night 3 tbsp., slept no better. Then the next night that I took 2 tbsp. I slept a wee bit better and didn't take any after 6:00 pm. I would like to try and see if I could get in ALL 3 tbsp. early in the day, if that would work. Don't know yet. Bonnie Re: Re: ~ Coconut Oil Bonnie Cole wrote: > How did I deal with not sleeping?
