I had sent out a Thank You to ALL who responded to my question on my

Dogs heart problem, but it was never posted!! I guess it is lost in

computerland some where! ...???

I had sent you a long one separately, I'm sorry it was not

posted! I just want to thank You all for your help!! I really

appreciate all your responses!! This group is awsome!!

To : I'm not sure what his condition is called!! The way my

vet descibed it so I would understand it, is he has a leaky heart. The

best way I can describe it is: heartbeat, heartbeat, psshhhhh (like

air coming out of a tire) He isn't over weight, so that is a good

thing! He will be 11 yrs old next month!! And I almost lost him about

a yr and a half ago!! He had lost from 13 lbs, down to 9 lbs!! He

wouldn't eat AT ALL!! I had to force feed him baby food in a

dropper!! (I was determined that he wasn't going to die from not

eating at least!!)

You mentioned to avoid " water retention " , how do you do that?? Because

he does drink a LOT of water!! I was up all night with him last night!!

He gets to where he can't breathe right!! (like he is gasping for

breath!...???) I feel so bad for him!!

Like you said with your dog, he means the world to me!! He is very

much loved and taken care of!! So he isn't lacking love!! : ) He is

such an awsome dog!! I was scared last night, I am always so worried

about loosing him!!

I looked for that book on amazon, they didnt have it, so I'll have to

get it next time I get to town! I live about 30 miles from the

bookstore!

Thank You again to all!! God Bless!! ~
