Guest guest
keen, I must have missed something along the way here, which I must say can easily happen. I understood you were very strict with your diet, and no carbs. If I remember right ( correct me if I am wrong ) you became very ill at one point and had to go the ER or maybe it was to see your doctor. I don't remember clearly on this. Is this the time you started eating more of the carbs & ect. to bring your health back into some sort of balance? I think some on this group are starving them selves of nutrition, buy cutting out any food that may feed the candida. This can't be good. I believe one should stay away from cakes, cookies, pies, icecream, bakery rolls, pasta.....but other then that, eat all your real food, in moderation. As far as milk, I seem to be ok with the lactose free milk. And I do ok with the french bread,... toasted or made into a sandwitch using baked turkey or chicken. One thing that is very important, is to take good probiotic cultures on and empty stomach, 30 minutes before one eats. If one is not seeing good results in your stomach and bowels from taking a probiotic, then it may be time to make a change. I ran out of my flora source super potency probiotic cultures a few months back, and took a cheaper brand. I was getting worse, and worse. I ordered the flora source a couple weeks ago, I am taking double dose. I feel better, and have a bit more energy. I must leave now. Have to take my best friend ( nicki my dog ) to see his doc. Guest guest
Hi Kathy I think you are mixing me up with someone else. My husband and I have candida (nearly gone now), leaky gut and IBS. Because of the IBS and leaky gut, we cannot tolerate animal fat at all and the only meat we can eat is chicken breast. That meant that we would not get enough nutrition from the normal meat and veggies candida diet, so we have been eating brown rice right from the beginning. We eat moderate carbs, and have done from the very beginning and yet have still been able to get rid of our candida problem. Each person differs, of course, but I offered my story as a reminder that there are many different ways to get rid of candida and that Duncan's protocol isn't the only one. There was also someone on here (I've forgotten her name) who healed purely by eating a healthy diet, including all fruits. Guest guest
" That meant that we would not get enough nutrition from the normal meat and veggies candida diet " I know many who reverse candida successfully on a vegan and/or entirely raw/vegan diet. You can easily get the nutrition you need, plus meat is acid-causing and disease prospers in a acid environment. The veggies are more alkaline, which is a healing environment. I'm just pointing that out. Your brown rice is a great choice.
Guest guest
keen, how did you get rid of your overgrowth? For me it was finding the root of the problem. Was that the case for you? I am curious as to how people solved this problem. sue ________________________________________________________________________________\ ____ Don't pick lemons. Guest guest
keen..... oh my, I am sorry, I thought it was you. Thanks for letting me know what you! It doesn't seem like you had very many different choice's of food. Were you able to come up with something different to eat, for you main meal, within the week, or did you eat brown rice with each main meal? sorry for all the questions! <>kathy<> PS....I have to vent a bit.Took my little budsy (dog) to the doc. vet this morning. He started to become very crippled on his left side. Also left side of his mouth, he couldn't chew. That part turned out to be his jaw. They have something new, and were able to check his blood there. I was sure this is what he had before I took him in. he came back possitive for lyme disease. I am suppose to give him 100 mg doxy antibiotic. One every 12 hours for 21 days. I am afraid it is going to kill all the friendly bacteria in his stomach and bowels. Then he will have to deal with this nasty fungus. Doctors give you a NO WIN situation. I will have to check with flora source. I think they have the probiotics for dogs. Thanks for letting me vent! <>kathy<> ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ -- In a message dated 5/4/2007 8:41:25 AM Central Daylight Time, kvenables@... writes: Hi Kathy I think you are mixing me up with someone else. Guest guest
Hi Kathy, So sorry to hear your little pal has lyme disease. Online I've seen probiotics for dogs. Or I bet you could give him the same stuff you're taking. Anyway, I hope he does well. What's his name? What kind of dog is he? I LOVE animals. I have three dogs and two cats. I would have a farm if I could. Zookee > > (SNIP) > PS....I have to vent a bit.Took my little budsy (dog) to the doc. vet this > morning. He started to become very crippled on his left side.
