Guest guest
You're not suppose to eat more than 30 grams or so of carbs a day, but like you, I still eat them! I exercise a lot and am thin and last time I went strict diet, only veggies and meat, my husband started to worry I had anorexia. The Yeast Connection book says not to eat ANY carbs for three weeks, then introduce them back in, so not all candida diets are as strict. One way to eat carbs and keep your sugar levels from going up (which feeds the yeast) is by exercising or taking a walk after eating. At any rate, don't torture yourself if you are eating rice pasta, etc! You need to live too. Does Anybody Eat Gluten Free/Wheat Free Food? Hello, I, on occasion eat gluten free/wheat free waffles, cereal, and pasta and for snack I like to munch on organic tortilla chips with hummus instead of salsa. I'm actually not sure if this is bad or what. Today I had half of a gf/wf blueberry waffle. I thought it was okay but it was probably not. Rice pasta seems to be okay for me. I don't get any stomach upsets and it keeps me full for hours. I also eat amaranth cereal and some yellow weird tasting cheerios. This diet makes me extremly hungry. I'm trying to add a little bit of carbs during the week to keep energy. Any tips on how many carbs are allowed a day on this diet. My vegetable intake is insane and I also take fiber twice a day w/ a multi vitaman. And I'm okay with not eating candy bars, cake, etc...I really don't care for it. Maybe it's will power...I don't know. I just would like to make sure gf/wf waffles and rice pasta are okay as long as it's in moderation. If it's not please let me know so I can stop feeding myself those food items. This message board has really been helpful Thanks ________________________________________________________________________________\ ____ Be a better friend, newshound, and know-it-all with Mobile. Guest guest
MIchelle, body builders avaid anorexia not with meat but with whey; they recognize whey as the primary protein for body building. Similarly, this is a primary protein for cancer patients to avoid the tissue wasting called cachexia and this info is part of the Physicians Desk Reference for prescription drugs when noting the property of a specific whey protein that can be sold as a drug. Guest guest
Hi Duncan, Thanks for your help, but unfortunetly, I'm highly sensitive to any form of dairy, including whey. It simply does not work right and causes me horrible stomach aches. I'm not sure what to substitute for it. Rice protein? Re: Does Anybody Eat Gluten Free/Wheat Free Food? Guest guest
Have you had an IgG test done to show delayed food sensitivities? I was using Rice in place of Whey etc then had the test done which showed I was sensitive to many things including rice. I can luckily have egg white still. Guest guest
, muscle wasting rather than building resulted in body- builders who switched from either eggs or whey to vegetable protein. So, the substitute for whey is eggs, 6 per meal, and they will not increase glutathione, the master antioxidant, detoxifier and energy producer. I am now 60 years old and definitely have muscle wasting, also perhaps because I have ME/CFS. I eat good protein with each meal and snack but its hasn't stopped this muscle wasting in my arms and legs. Many thanks Pam in the UK
Guest guest
Thanks, I can't eat eggs either! My muscle mass is fine (I lift weights), it's just my general appearance is " too thin. " I've heard comments about it before. Guest guest
Yep, I had both the delayed and immediate reaction tests and am highly sensitive to all forms of diary and eggs. Nothing else came up sensitive in either tests, so I'm pretty sure they're innaccurate to a certain degree, since I still itch after eating many foods. But, after I quit eating eggs/dairy, my stomach quit hurting as much, so the test was worth getting. You are very lucky you can have egg whites! That makes life a lot easier. Guest guest
I'm sure this has been asked and answered tons of times, but to be very clear: is it true then that undenatured whey is the ONLY glutathione increasing food/supplement? Didn't you say direct glutathione supplements are not effective? sol Duncan Crow wrote: > So, the substitute for whey is eggs, 6 per meal, and they will not > increase glutathione, the master antioxidant, detoxifier and energy > producer. > >
