Guest guest
I make the gel daily and add to many things, smoothies, salad dressings, eggs. You can't taste it and it gives everything an incredible nutritional boost. My daughter is a very picky eater who is incredibly active and needs lots of concentrated nutrition. I sneak it into lots of things and she never knows the difference. Guest guest
I haven't, but I recall reading that it can be used in breads as a " fat replacer " . Not sure how it comes out, though. Guess you could always try it and see. Guest guest
Thanks, Duncan! Nicely said! Chia is THE ONLY GRAIN (or seed -- if there's difference?) I use raw in my diet and ONLY for its fiber properties in quantity less then ounce a day (and a little ancient aura!). Nothing more to it than that; you decide if the value of the upside is better than the downside. You might tolerate small amounts and not materially affect your bowel ecology. It looks like Connie's source is better for Canadian buyers while yours is better for US buyers. Sparrow

Guest guest
Thanks for that link-- I enjoy looking around sites I haven't seen before. I found a sprouter there, that I have never seen before, too! *THE SPROUTER DUO by Passion-Santé * Anyone have one of these? I am curious what size it is. I have taken to putting my sprouts in the OXO mini-spinner (with the top off), for the last two days of sprouting, so more of them get a chance to green up. (More surface to get exposed to light.) The plus is, the hulls rinse off each time I water/rinse the sprouts. But it ties up my OXO. This one looks as if it is probably too small (certainly compared to the OXO)...but it's hard to tell. http://www.rawnutrition.ca/html/passion-sante_sprouter.html Thia On Thu, Jul 16, 2009 at 10:51 PM, Connie Lacelle < groups@...> wrote: > > > I just found a source of Chia sprouing seeds: > > http://www.rawnutrition.ca/html/sprouters___sprouting_seed_sup.html > > Connie > > -- º¤ø,¸,ø¤ºº¤ø,¸,ø¤ºº¤ø,¸,ø¤ºº¤ø,¸,ø¤º Quick & Easy " Raw " Recipes http://easyraw.blogspot.com/ º¤ø,¸,ø¤ºº¤ø,¸,ø¤ºº¤ø,¸,ø¤ºº¤ø,¸,ø¤º
