35 grams of whey is about two heaping tablespoons.

I think 25gms is about an ounce which I think is a rounded tablespoon. Dee

Dee, I weighed 2 heaping TBSp and got 35 grams, depending on how high

you can pile it on the spoon it can be a bit more. So, a heaping TBSp

is about 17 grams.

Duncan,

I want to try and get it fairly accurate. If it were level

tablespoons would you say 35 grams would be about 3 or 4 level

tablespoons?

Elsye, I use the NOW whey as well. If you look at the serving size info, you'll

see where it

says that 1/3 cup has 25g protein. So I just use a 1/3 cup measuring cup and use

2-3

scoops per day. You could vary the dose anyway you want by using a proportion.

So for

example if you want 75g/day in two doses, just use 1/2 cup 2x/day. Hope this

helps!

Just a question. Does anyone experience a continuous low, stomach ache when

they take whey? Dee

It's not exactly a stomach ache, but I did have constant gas and

pain in the intestines from the gas bubbles.

Elyse, unfortunately, my " tablespoon " soup spoons are approximate,

but it doesn't matter because whey products don't weigh the same and

they heap and pack differently too.

That said, I think your estimate of four level TBSP that are not

packed, sounds like they would be very close to 35 grams; bear in

mind that this time, with whey, it's better to apply the old

rule " when in doubt, use more " and take advantage of its metabolic-

enhancing, thus anti-aging, property. Body builders use up to about

160 -180 grams per day in addition to regular food, for tone and mass.

I want so badly to begin taking whey, but im not as

informed as i would like to be. You know when

something does not feel just right...that is kinda how

this feels.

Anyone out there have any advice that will push me

over the edge and want to start?

I have to admit it is not long or consistently, but I have taken it three

days consecutively and have nothing but bloating and pain, plus gas, so I

thought it is probably not the right thing for me. I have this weird thing

that I seem to operate the other way around to most people. I now have a

persistent pain in the lower right abdomen which feels like a burning

sensation and don't know what to do. I now have the enzymes to replace the

gall bladder so will see if this makes an difference. Dee
