Guest guest
MJ: There is Oregano Oil that some people have had good results with. There is Coconut Oil reputed to be anti-fungal. There is Diflucan that comes in 50 mg., 100 mg. and 200 mg. pills and supposedly one 200 mg pill (JUST ONCE) will do it for some people. Bonnie Is there an natural anitfungal without antibiotic properties?? Can anyone tell me of an antifungal, natural one, that does not also act as an antibacterial? Garlic, GSE, and other potent things all have antibiotic properties that are now too strong for me. Nystatin is the only thing that I know of. Is there another? Guest guest
No, Bonnie, oregano or coconut oil both are well known for their antibacterial properties. Google cut-n-paste keyphrase: (antibacterial " oil of oregano " OR " coconut oil " ) Duncan > > MJ: > > There is Oregano Oil that some people have had good results with. Guest guest
Duncan: There have been claims made by Dr. Fife about VCO being Anti-fungal AND the North American Herb & Spice Company situated in Waukegan, Illinois (founded I believe by Dr. Cass Ingram) who have a time-release formula called Oregabiotic for yeast overgrowth in the Gut. When I told a company REP that I had Candida on my skin, she said that means you have it MAINLY in your Gut and we use Oregabiotic for this very thing. Someone wrote last week I believe that Oregano Oil was the only thing that helped them. Sorry Duncan, but there has to be more AVENUES for people like me to explore that REACT strongly to Whey. Guest guest
Bonnie, you wrote about oregano oil and coconut oil in response to the criteria of being non-antibiotic, which they are not; they are anti-biotic. This thread has nothing to do with the bonded cysteine in whey as a precursor for glutathione. I agree that there is an optional precursor and I gave it to you; did you read my earlier responses on two lists you're on, about cystine? Whey does much more than supply bonded cysteine though so it's miles ahead of the capsule approach. Guest guest
Duncan, what's the difference between non Anti-biotic and Anti-biotic. I didn't get your meaning? Read below. Guest guest
Duncan: You know something weird? I have had so much trouble with SO MANY ITEMS, that I think it had something to do with Adrenal Exhaustion of which I'm just learning. I think I've had HIGH CORTISOL for many years, as I'm learning because even as young as 14 I can remember being very tired in the mornings but raring to go at night, when I should have been tired. That is why I was desperate to try DHEA because it was a very low dose and Whey had already caused problems. Already I feel like a new person, with energy and now actually getting tired in the evenings when I should be. So if this DHEA will bring me back to a more normal state, perhaps I can now try the WHEY. I had no idea that high Cortisol (the hormone of Death) could cause heart Arythmias, Insomnia, digestion problems and on and on. What is your take on this and do you have any Adrenal information on your webpage? Guest guest
Bonnie, non-antibiotic means not anti-bacterial while anti-biotic means anti-bacterial. The question was what substance kills candida but not bacteria; this would have an anti-fungal but not an anti- bacterial property. Guest guest
Oh boy, I'll have to read that a couple of times (below) to get the gist of it. It's late I'll read it tomorrow again.
