Guest guest
Hi Kathy, I too take coconut oil. I just put it in the blender with my whey and inulin. It adds a nice flavor to the shake. I have replaced my cooking oils with coconut oil as well. Coconut oil had antifungal, antibacterial, and virucidal properties. It also helps with weight loss. I love it and feel it gives me more energy too. --- Kathycozycove@... wrote: > > Hi , > > That was great to here. Guest guest
What else do you put in there for a liquid? I'm allergic to oranges, bananas and strawberries, which kills my favorite morning smoothie :-( I haven't started my whey yet, because I'm not sure what to mix it with! Guest guest
yum yum girl...... thanks for this little recipe. Makes it sound pretty good. I am going to this. Do you use 8 oz of water or more? <>kathy<> -------------------------------------------------------------------------- In a message dated 5/3/2007 12:15:36 PM Central Daylight Time, yumyumgirl77@... writes: use water,2 ice cubes, 2 scoops of whey, teaspoon of inulin powder, 2 teaspoons of coconut oil, and a little stevia. Its not the best tasting smoothie in the world, but not bad, and it gives you so much energy. I think you could put some frozen berries in the shake instead of ice, but I dont because I am avoiding the sugar. ************************************** See what's free at http://www.aol.com. Guest guest
I make my smoothie with whey, coconut oil, stevia, vanilla extract, cocoa powder, and rice milk (I'm allergic to dairy), and blend it up. It's yummy and, foodwise, it's the high point of my day! Guest guest
There's a good chance there's sugar in at least some rice milks. Have you ever made FRESH almond milk? It is super healthy and great for you. You blend soaked raw almonds (oh.. forget it, they won't be available anymore). You can do it with other nuts, though. Soak them (they expand), blend them with water, and squeeze it through cheesecloth or a nut milk bag. It is SO good! And very healthy. :-)
Guest guest
I use Rice Dream brand, and the contents are filtered water, brown rice, safflower oil, tricalcium phosphate, vanilla and other natural flavors, sea salt, and some vitamins. It tastes really good.
