Guest guest
Yes, I have used the Heel's detox kit many a time and found it excellent. I have used in with mercury toxicity and it's pretty powerful stuff, so I had to work up and it did indeed cause metals to be excreted from my system. I had to stop many times because the detox was so intense. I sometimes only got to 7 drops of each and that was often enough at that time because I was so riddled with metals that even a small amount of this was enough to bring on a massive excretion. It has also aided me a few times when I've gotten myself into trouble with toxic exposure. I usually use about 20 drops of each and that's fine. I do it at my own pace and use it until I feel improved again. I cannot recommend that stuff highly enough for so many situations. It is marvellous and I've tried many things and been disappointed. This along with the diet is probably two of the more successful treatments I've used in lessening toxic load and improving my condition. I have used a excellent chelating protocol too for mercury that I found even more helpful (andrew hall Cutler). But it depends on what condition you suffer from and what your needs are. > > One of my doctors has suggested the Detox-Kit, by the HEEL company. > > I was wondering if anyone else here is using it right now, has tried it, good views, bad views, I'll take whatever observations you want to take the time to write out for me. > > And thanks! > > > Ciel > :+) > >

But the company above was very nice about cancelling my order. sol
Guest guest
This detox kit is homeopathic. The ingredients are trace and hugely diluted. Do you really think the iodine would be problematic? Guest guest
What I think doesn't matter-- *Heel* says it is possibly a problem, and that people with thyroid conditions should consult their physician. I am severely iodine allergic so I felt I had best avoid it. I do have Hashimoto's thyroiditis, too. I trust Heel and their products, so if they tell me not to take something they make, I believe them! Even though it is probably a CYA statement, I was amazed they know about thyroid and iodine issues and care enough to note a caution in their product literature. They really are an excellent company. I forget the actual wording but you can read the product info at the Heel website. What I chose to do instead is purchase the KingBio detox products most closely approximating the Heel detox. sol wrote: > This detox kit is homeopathic. The ingredients are trace and hugely diluted. Guest guest
I was wondering how you manage Sol, because I have read that iodine is *essential* to healthy life and without it, all sorts of disease will occur. How do you compensate or substitute for it? Just curious. I myself took Lugols solution in the summer and found that my thyroid is now balanced nicely i.e. I don't get that awful suffocating over-heating that I used to, and have managed to lose nearly two stone in weight, which I had found impossible before. One downside though; I feel the cold now, which I *never* used to. Can't have everything eh? Guest guest
I don't compensate, I just avoid it. There is no substitute for iodine that I know of, it is a necessary component of all thyroid hormones. However, from avoiding iodine stringently for over 20 years now, I can tell you it cannot be avoided entirely these days. And I've never developed a goiter either. Which tells me something about the level of iodine in the average american diet of the past couple of decades at least. If I was able to eat high iodine foods, I'd be getting much more than the daily amount of iodine required to sustain life. As it is the best I can do is avoid it sufficiently to not get strong reactions. But since it can't be totally avoided, I do also have to take antihistamines every day. When my avoidance is good, I only take one at bedtime, when I've slipped up badly I might end up taking H1 blocker antihistamines every 4 hours, along with 150 mg of Zantac every 12 hours (Zantac is an H2 histamine blocker). Depending on the severity of the reaction, I have even further ramp up measures to control it. I have Hashimoto's thyroiditis, just very recently discovered, and have been told that many if not most Hashi's sufferers are sensitive or intolerant of iodine, and others like me, are frankly allergic to it (histamine IgE allergic response). Some of course do tolerate supplemental iodine, and are also able to eat a normal diet, but in many, iodine stimulates the antibody attacks. sol Dee wrote: > I was wondering how you manage Sol, because I have read that iodine is > *essential* to healthy life and without it, all sorts of disease will occur. >
Guest guest
Dee, How do you measure what you need to take for the lugol's and how often do you take it? Guest guest
Hi , I just took about four drops a day for a couple of weeks and then one drop per day for a month and now just one drop every now and then. It worked for me but I believe some people can have issues with iodine. Dee PS the bottle has a sort of dropper thing in the top. -- Re: Detox-Kit by the HEEL company -- any users' experiences are appreciated :-) Dee, How do you measure what you need to take for the lugol's and how often do you take it? Guest guest
Thanks Dee, Did you do any thyroid tests to see how you were progressing? Guest guest
No I didn't , but when I had had my thyroid checked a couple of years ago, the results were normal, but people say that this is not necessarily so I do know that I used to get awful overwhelmingly hot whenever the temperature rose even a little bit and everyone else was cold. I also could not lose weight even when on a low calorie diet. All this has changed so I m assuming it is the iodine which is the one thing I have done differently.
