I got hold of some kefir grains (actual grains per the traditional method, not a culture powder which isn't indefinitely self-propagating), and joined a cow-share so I can legally obtain raw milk here in Arizona. I have found I can't do much of the milk kefir yet, but tried Donna Gates' (Body Ecology) recommendations for coconut kefir. Well, all I can say is coconut kefir ROCKS!! It's actually pretty easy to make (and delicious!) and there is no question that it is doing it's thing establishing microflora in my gut, very effectively. If I was tending to have any remaining issues with constipation, this has relieved it entirely! I highly reccommend it.
