Hi,

I am a 27 year old male with a history of a rare liver disease called

Primary Sclerosing Cholangitis. I also had ulcerative colitis and

then had a total colectomy and j-pouch. I found out later I had

osteoporosis and lots of food allergies, allergic to nuts, soy,

gluten, basically almost all processed foods.

Lately I am low in Vitamin D and my testosterone level was low about

a year ago. Once the testosterone got stable I had gained about 25

pounds. I used to have a severe bacterial imbalance in the gut with a

high ratio of pathogenic bacteria. And I quit eating sugar and this

got better. I take VSL#3 probiotics and also take plant tannins

(tanalbits) (natural remover of bad bacteria) which seem to help my

skin and digestion immensely.

Lately I've been wondering since I've had this skin infection for a

long time (since pre liver disease diagnosis) and I've kind of hit a

plateua-the skin is much better but still persists, maybe I need to

see an infection specialist b/c its so hard to control. The skin gets

hives/boils/pustules if I eat something bad for me like sugar or an

allergen, which I try to avoid.

Does anyone else have a similar problem and what could I do about

this?

Thanks for your help!

Jarad, the undenatured whey, inulin and selenomethionine would be

your core products for UC and cholangitis.

Hi Jarad,

My niece's husband I think is around 37 years old and was just diagnosed with

PSC and UC. I had never heard of this disease until he was diagnosed with it

and then I read your email today.

Take care,

Beth
