Hi,

My 2 and 1/2 year old has struggled with chronic yeast--it is so hard

and frustrating. I've been able to do a diet without any grains (only

meat veggies and fruit) for a while but now it's becoming impossible.

We almost lost her to autism because her poor body has really been

invaded by microbes and she is dumping heavy metals.

She is on saccaromyces boulardii, caprylic acid (only tolerates a tiny

bit) and some homeopathic drops for candida.

Anytime I give her even a little carbohydrate she becomes drunken and

loses speech and defiant.

Any suggestions? Thanks very much!!!

We were where you are when my son was that age. We also noticed the drunken

behavior - especially with whole wheat. He also had liquid stools back then.

We did a lot of things - flax oil (seemed to stop the progression of autism),

fish oil (helped speech), brushing therapy (reduced tantrum and sensory issues),

supplements (lots of Standard Process but many others also) and NAET and BioSet

allergy treatments. He would have strong reactions after each treatment (sleep,

rash - it varied). When he was older he had it done some more by someone else

and I didn't see any reactions and we didn't continue with the treatment. Back

then (seven years ago) there was an active group for allergyinducedautism

which I feel fit him perfectly. I believe it started from Leaky Gut caused by

the antibiotics he was given at birth and two other times which led to allergies

and his symptoms.

We also juiced every day back then. It may not agree with the info given on

this group (too much sugar) but he went two winters with no colds or flu (and he

was in special ed pre-school with lots of sick kids). It was an apple-carrot

base with whatever was in season (apricots and cranberries being my first

choices).

Good luck!
