Ok ...today i bought whey and am totally confused. I

bought a brand called designer protein whey vanilla

praline flavor. I asked all of th question which

duncan brough up to me and they kinda said that this

kind was what i was looking for.

It does not taste that bad and i hope i see something

good out of this as it took me such a long time to try

this.

The did indicate that it was used to prevent cancer

and a ton of other things because of the amino acids(

i think ?)

It has a ton of nutrients in it so it looks good.

I will let you know how i feel as i take this for

anyone who was unsure of it.

Is there anything i should know with regard to the

type i bought as i only purchased a small container?

Also how often should i drink this chake?

Hi,

Are you taking Whey for Candida reasons? Increased glutathione levels?

Because, at the moment I am taking Reflex instant whey (Purely because

I had it from previous weight training regimes) with my selenium

capsules, in order to raise glutathione levels.

Having done lots of research, there are actually two types of

denatured Whey apparently.

1. The usual cheap (in comparrisson) stuff, that just has the

denatured bits filtered out. Which still loses some of the required

nutrients ion the process

2. The expensive, cold processed milk originating undmaged/undenatured

whey. Which doesnt need to be filtered because it doesnt contain any

damaged molecules and retains all nutritional value

I notice a definite difference when taking selenium with food, or

taking it with my normal reflex whey. So im guessing that some whey is

better than no Whey.

In reference to point " 2. " , there is a product called immunepro.

Expensive at £38 for 300g, compared to normal wheys that are £25 for

908g.

The dose for immunepro is 5g per day. For this to be economical then

it would need to be twice as potent as this commercial undenatured

whey I have been looking at.

Also made by reflex, it claims to be undenatured and the most potent

form available. Although this claim is based on protein absorbtion and

on the basis of sports nutrition.

I think the Immunepro may be more suited because it contains more

Glutathione precursors.

However, I am slightly confused, and holding back my purchaseof

immunepro until I can get some more opinions.

Hi,

I tried they whey because of the nutrient content in

it and the fact that it has been used to treat cancers

which i HAD ! last year.

I am very confused as to the type or brand to take, so

i trusted my health food store.

Does anyone have any conclusive opinion as to which

brand is best to take?

I am looking for any advice from someone who has take

it and seen results.

Also why ar eyou taking the selenium? I just began to

increase my intake yesterday.

I had lotx of gas last night, was that fromthe whey i

assume, or the selenium increase.

Dont worry about the gas. It is most likely the high protein content

of the whey which is causing it. I suggest you amend your dosages

accordingly.

Selenium detoxes the body. I thought I had mental illness from

excessive drugs usage in younger years. But no, it was just a toxic or

free radical build up, which diminished within 2 days and 600mcg per

day of selenium.Although it was re-instated by coffee. I wander if

these are the toxic products of candida, or maybe another parasite.

Sue, the reason the undenatured whey helps to prevent a lot of

diseases, possibly cancer included, is that it is a good source of

precursors for the body's master antioxiant and detoxifier,

glutathione, which only requires three of the couple of dozen or so

amino acids in the whey, plus selenium.

BUT this precursor quality of the whey MUST be preserved of course,

and that's why specifically undenatured whey has been chosen as a

health food.

I hope your selection is not spiked with sugar and starch. Two

heaping TBSP in a glass of water twice daily is ballpark dose.

Tuney, you can find out exactly what glutathione precursor amounts

are in ANY whey by using the data the manufacturer provides you and

following the instruction at the bottom of this page:

http://tinyurl.com/cuzcc

You'll find the designer brands Immmunocal, ImmunPlex, Immune Pro Rx

and a couple of others are NOT twice as potent as the other

glutathione producers we are using, although they are about four to

eight times more expensive. I have removed them from my web page and

in good conscience I no longer sell them.

Thanks Duncan,

Ive spent a decent amount of time looking at the types of undenatured

whey. It does seem as though the immune orientated are no better,

therefore unjustifiably more expensive than the body buliding/sports

orientated, types of undenatured whey.

But just for good measure, please comment on the suitability of this

product, should you find the available time.

It does contain digestive enzymes, although I read on one website

that its better to take the whey with low stomache acids and enzymeS?

Im not quite sure why, but please do explain if you see necessary.

duncan

It has 2 grams of sugars, the brand name is designer

whey, and the carbs are 2 grams also.

I brought all of the points that yo u mentioned to the

health food store with me and they directed me to this

brand. they gave me tons to read on it also.

Is there another brand which you would recommend?

This one is vanilla and the taste is kinda good. I

make it only with water and crushed ice, kinda like

smoothie. I added strawberries to it today and it was

good. My family is drinking it up. Both my kids are

gym rats so they made it with banannas and peanut

butter and drank it before goin to the gym

I am taking it just for the sole purpose of the

nutrients and hopefully preventing cancer from

returning.

Would it make you produce more gas, seems like that

his happeneing.

Tuney, enzymes are used in some wheys to speed breakdown and

absorption of protein; this is independent of absorption of the

glutathione precursor peptides, which are small enough to absorb as

they are.

Stomach acids would also help to break down protein, but again this

step is not necessary for glutathione precursors. I don't know why

anyone would suggest trying to get the stomach acid low prior to

drinking whey, but I can say that the whey might do that anyway, and

if a person has low stomach acid, enzymes and betaine HCl can be used

to reduce any GERD (reflux) they might experience with a large

draught of fairly alkaline shake.

We don't know what the glutathione precursor content of this product

is.

Sue, the whey you have, normal differences aside, fits the general

theme for an undenatured product.

Some people experience a heaviness or a feeling of gas from whey, but

they become accustomed to it or it reduces in time. Maybe the 2G

sugar is giving the dysbiosis a bit of a burst.

Yes, Sue, I sell whey at http://tinyurl.com/cuzcc ...I used to sell

Designer Whey but found better deals to show people. I don't offer

all the good products directly but my whey links enter a couple of

large distributors's sites that probably stock Designer Whey and many

others; you can run a search on their rather extensive catalogues.

Probably from the whey, but what it means is hard to

say. You can get gas from die-off, when candida and

other bacteria die-off. But you can also get gas when

your body has a hard time digesting something. They

say the gas tends to die down after a week or two.
