Guest guest
Hi Duncan, I read up on the Blockbuster, this product sounds like it could be very good for one. I just have one question. I believe the Blockbuster is also a blood thinner, " right " ....( For a long time, I have been taking d-alpha Vit-E with Selenium in it. Am I correct in saying that Vit-E is also a blood thinner, and if so, how safe would it be to take both the Blockbuster and the Vit-E. Also is Omega 3 fish oil a blood thinner ( thought I had read that one time, but maybe not.) I think I have to be careful so that I don't get my blood to thin. Thanks ahead of time.......<>kathy<>
Guest guest
Kathy, Blockbuster really isn't a blood thinner as such. What it does is allow some clotting to occur and then erase the excess; thus there's no risk of bleeding from normal injuries. With the excess clotting removed the blood does appear thinner because spontaneous blood coagulation is reduced as soon as it occurs. A blood thinner like warfarin prevents the fibrin from coagulating the blood and injuries in the first place. This interferes with normal healing, thus the bleeding risk. Vitamin E apparently makes the platelets more slippery, which means less blood " shear " which is a stressor that triggers the fibrin to start coagulation. You would keep taking the vitamin E and cod-liver oil for that matter when you use BlockBuster; these vitamins are often contraindicated when you're on warfarin, which is stupid because they provide essential nutrients. Ahhh, isn't this the way of medicine though Unless you're a borderline heophiliac, or you're using an anticoagulant like warfarin, there's no such thing as blood becoming too thin. Thin is good; it allows better oxygen transport through the capilliaries. Duncan > > Hi Duncan, > I read up on the Blockbuster, this product sounds like it could be very good > for one.
