Re: Diflucan Resistant Yeast?

As far as I know, the generic form of diflucan is just as good. You may have

to start the diet in order to truly get rid of your infection. Have you had it

confirmed as candida? There is a med that was approved for invasive candidiasis

when it resists diflucan. See

http://www.doctorfungus.org/thedrugs/voriconazole.htm. But I am not sure how

much it is actually prescribed. Most docs only believe in candidiasis with AIDS

or impaired immune systems.

Good luck - this forum should be a great help.

Hi ,

I feel for you. My daughter's yeast infection started

that same way. In the short term I've found that

applying virgin coconut oil topically will help with

any itching, burning, etc... immediately. And even in

a day or 2 it wll clear up. Now, she's 4 years old so

I don't know if she heals faster than an adult or not.

But her infections don't quite want to go away

either. Since you're nursing (and I'm sure you've

already read) the probiotics are definitely a good

thing to be on. Even just for a preventative. I've

heard that Thaumatage (ayurevedic medicine) is

something you can take while nursing. I've had my

daughter on it recently and it works really well. The

only problem is you have to be on it for a long time.

The product is called " nu-zareba " . It's completely

natural. It's an anti-parasite and anti-fungal. Her

infection cleared up in about 2 days but you're

suppose to be on it for 4months.

Also, maybe you'd like to try some Kombucha tea. I've

read great things about it. I take it for myself and

I'm nursing my baby, too. It gives you so much

energy, helps you sleep better at night, works GREAT

on stress, totally calms you down, detoxifies your

liver and for some have relief from candida. I love

my Kombucha. Couldn't live without it. Hope some of

this helps! Good Luck!
