Guest guest
Don and TroubleHere in Canada we could qualify for the Disability Pension if a person was literally unable to work as a result of the treatment. However, the red tape one would have to go through would be as bad as it is in the States. Of all things, I qualified for disability more because of my Fibro than the HepC. Now I'm kinda glad it was that way, because I no longer have HepC; but, I stay on for the Fibro.Gloria Hi Trouble Welcome to the group. Im not aware of anyone getting SSI or SSDI specifically for HCV, but that doesnt mean that it is not happening. I do know that there are programs to help one while going through HCV treatment. Job related and State. Perhaps Federal too. You should call your local SS or SRS office, and ask. Your liver doctor also may be able to help you. I recieve SSI, but it is unrelated to HCV. love don in ks
