SuziI actually hale from a very British background. As I say, Welsh on my paternal side. On the maternal side, my grandmother was definitely a Scot; but, married my English grandfather in Canada. My husband's daughter-in-law was just a tiny baby when her parents emigrated to Canada. However, to see her put on the "British" arrogance makes me want to puke. You'd think that she came from royalty when she's right into it. Well, it doesn't impress me much, I can tell you. The city that I grew up in, here in British Columbia, is well known for it's uppity English nobodies!!!Yet, I was just telling my parents today, how much I would have loved the opportunity to drive right around the British Isles. A friend and his daughter did that several

years ago and it was one time that I actually enjoyed looking at someone else's vacation pictures.Good heavens Suzi, you must have been paving the way for someone like me, that was going to badly need the programs some years later!! I thank you for keeping a chair warm for me, so that the opportunity was still there. These days, even I'm counted as one of the long-timers and have a great deal of difficulty seeing what is happening to my beloved program. Please, feel welcome on this forum always!! Sure, perhaps not many people your age even know how to turn a computer on, lest of all actually join and participate on a chat site. I believe that you have the right to slap yourself on the back for that ability. Besides, I like what you have to say and the fact that you are straight up about it too.Gloria

Thanks Gloria!!

I got a phone call and didn't know how to save message so I just posted it. Ahh yes The fabulous Welshmen--like Burton. That is on the western side of the island. Had I known you were of Welsh descent I would not have forgotten. My grandfather was of ish descent so I was told all about Scotland as a child--back before TV or other things--when young people sat and talked with their grandparents. Gosh, I'm sooo old!!! That was way back in the 1930's and early 40's. I was already in college before we had a TV. My college sweetheart just turned 83. Just goes to show Hep C can be slow moving. I take NO pain meds except an occasional Aleve. And since I was diagnosed with diabetes and have been on metformin about 6 weeks, I feel great. Don posted an article on Hep C and metformin and I am really curious to see what it does for my Hep C. Joined AA and NA back in 1966 when it was so much fun. No one was sentenced to go--so everyone was

there because they wanted to be there. I often feel very out of sync with the forum --probably because I am. No one my age ever posts.

Anyway, sorry about Wales--promise I won't forget again. Hope your feelings are not tooo hurt!!!

Cheers, SuziQ
