Guest guest Posted July 5, 2010 Report Share Posted July 5, 2010 Hi Gloria When I was at the pain-doc appmt last friday, he told me that the cheap rubber flip-flops I was wearing were the worst kind of shoes. I told him that my feet were swollen and I couldnt get my tennis shoes on. Mostly Im in the house, and rarely ever wear shoes unless I go outside. My right knee hurts also. My left knee is fine. It isnt Fibromyalgia, but rather the joint. My old Dad had his right knee replaced, so its not HCV. Probably genetic. love don in ks Actually guys, the question of any form of narcotic never came up between me and the clinic. They did carefully record any other changes in my medications; but, pain killers was just not one we spoke about. At the time, I was adamant that I did not want to start taking anything for the Fibro and didn't have the same difficulty as , I believe. But then, I also had very low ambition for myself and simply did not attempt ANY tasks that might bring on any sort of pain from the meds.However, I'm beginning to rethink my stand now!!! I've been going through a pretty long stretch of Fibro flare up recently. Even to the point that my right knee feels almost like it's cracked or something (haven't fallen since tx). Usually my Fibro hits harder on the left side; but, not this time.Anyway, I'm going to try something first before I make a complaint to my Dr. Because it is supposed to be summer, I bought a pair of really cheap thongs. I honestly think that they are the problem, so I'm going to try to remember not to wear them. I have another pair that have more support than these - I'll give them a try, if I stop from this flare up.I'll be like Teri soon enough and so I won't be able to deal with the pain. I'm going to have to set up some kind of schedule for going around the homefront, to get things managed for the place to be sold. Today I was there for about 2-1/2 hrs throwing out all kinds of junk from my bedroom. Got so tired that it didn't take long to not even care what it was that I was throwing in the garbage bag.
