Guest guest
Teri, I hope the packing is going well; that you have only to wiggle your nose and it is all done and moved. Or is it cross your arms, blink your eyes tight and nod your head? Damn, no wonder I still have to do Everything manually ! No Genie or for me! I am sad for you about leaving the lake. Every time we relocate, I dive right into the local flavor, learning all the side street neighborhoods and local legends. By the time we have to relocate again( approx 6 months) I know the neighbors, the local Cat Lady( there IS always one everywhere) have a fav cafe & waitress and a list of addresses for Christmas cards! And then, I get so sad at leaving. I go thru a depression each time, staying in bed till noon. And then the magic happens all over again! Each new place is The Best! So stay positive! Your new house will soon be a Home and you will love every corner and cranny of the new neighborhood! Really, Its Okay to love again. LoL . And , yes, thanks to good drugs, a 4 hr nap and my unwaivering stupidity, Dearest Hubby and I went fishing again. This time, just when the bite was getting good and Grandpappy Catfish was sniffing around my hook, a sudden severe storm blew in. One monsterous bolt of lightning and I was out of there! Then I remembered Dearest Hubby, fishing stuff, and my vow to always be there in sickness and hailstones. So I grapped the two folding METAL chairs, a tackle box and my flashlight; headed for the rock face stairway to heaven and a dry pickup truck. Pitch dark, flashlight won't work, lightening in sky like a 70's disco-tec. The chairs are weighing me down and throwing off my center of gravity as I climb UP the rockface path literally on my hands and knees, second quessing my attachment to the two folding Lightening Rods we park our butts in to fish. Last time I had such abrasions on my hands and knees was, oh ! ummm, wrong story, oh dear! But we made home to our beloved RV , canine children and no electricity. Home ALWAYS looks even better by candlelight! Have a Packing Party , promise outragous things for all that show up to help and then leave 'em packing boxes while you carry a first load to new home. Trust me, they will pack dozens of boxes before they realize that no Hooter Girls are going to show up with duct tape and a big smile. sincere love and cyber- hugs Candle-glow Trudy http://facebook.com/people/andTrudy-Kinsey/1340460877 " " A well- behaved woman never made history " http://allrecipes.com/cook/TrudyK/profile.aspx
