Guest guest
Hi Teri I dont know too much about the thyroid and HCV - TX. Heres what I have in the HCV Library. http://health.dir./group/ /links/011___HCV_and_THYROID_001257591589/ Some other interesting sites. http://www.wrongdiagnosis.com/symptoms/thyroid_problems/symptom-search.htm search results - causes of thyroid problems http://search./search?ei=utf-8 & fr=slv8-tyc7 & p=causes%20of%20thyroid%20problems & type= I would love to know who has thyroid problems from HCV TX, and what those problems consist of. [symptoms, etc] love don in ks My attention has been peaked here... I was diagnosed with Thyroid issues back in 2001. Several years before a chiropractor told me I had issues with my thyroid by the shape of my neck, I thought he was a quack. But looking back, I now notice things that may or may not play into me being infected with Hep C. As most of you know, I contracted the virus in 1980... May 22nd to be exact, (Does that mean I have a Hep C birthday next week?) I got some bad blood during a transfusion when I had my son. Up until that time, my life was pretty much plain white bread... no craziness, no illnesses (other than pre-eclampsia during the pregnancy) I never even had a headache ever in my life. I can remember flu like symptoms within a few days of the delivery and transfusion. I also started getting migraines. HORRIBLE migraines and I had never had headaches ever. Then I noticed that every time I drank orange juice I would get fever blisters on my lips. Just crazy weird stuff. And then the thyroid blows out many years later. I wonder if any of those crazy symptoms had anything to do with the Hep C. My thyroid is still messed up big time, BUT I have not had a migraine since starting treatment and I can drink orange juice by the gallon without any reaction now... strange when you think about it... were those warning signs maybe? Has anyone else had anything strange like that happen? My curiosity is peaked here... Teri
Guest guest
Dude, I had the thyroid problems 5 years before I started treatment... maybe more. And those other things... I wonder if they were warning signs that the Hep C was in my body. They went away completely once I started treatment. I haven't had so much as a headache since August of 2005 and before that I was missing work due to uncontrolled migraines.. that's how they found the Hep C! I just wonder if it isn't all related somehow. It almost HAS to be. Now the whole Fibromyalgia thing... I thought that was from tx but people with HCV have it that have not gone thru treatment.. so that stopped my whole which came first the chicken or the egg thing on that one.TeriFrom: Christ <ludichrist2000@...>WebWarriors grp < >Sent: Sat, May 15, 2010 9:24:19 PMSubject: [ ] Thyroid Disorders and Hepatitis C - Okay, now I'm curious - Teri Hi Teri I dont know too much about the thyroid and HCV - TX.
