Guest guest
Hi Beth Im with Jane about not understanding your Gastro releasing you....???? I would suggest that you find a NEW Gastro or Heptologist, and get in to see them ASAP. It is VERY important that you stay on top of your HCV with a specialist. GP's are useful for basic health issues and monitoring, but they lack the specialized knowledge needed for HCV and/or treatment. The triple HCV TX is the same as the combo....Interferon and Ribavirin....with the new Protease Viral Inhibitor added. This way the HCV is being attacked from 3 directions, not just two. If a person is inclined to suffer from side effects of the HCV combo TX, they will still be inclined to do the same thing with the 3D HCV TX. The good thing about the 3D TX is that by attacking the HCV from 3 directions, a person may be more likely to clear, and reach SVR. This info applys to genotype 1's. For genotype 2-4's there may be different treatments and results involved. I have some suggestions about suppliments that you may want to start concidering. They can be found in any health food store, and possibly places like Walmarts. Click on the links under each thing and read. Consult your doctor about everything. love don in ks He said it was to dangrouse wait for the new meds around the bend. But from what I understand it is just one more med to add to the current cocktail they give you. I take a have a mens multi vit every other day, 1/2 of b-complex every other day, 100 mg of milk thistle at night, and 75 mcg of levothrixine daily (thyroid med) which went real crazy high after tx was stopped. Thank goodness I was smart enough to keep asking my gp to watch it because my gastro had released me. I was about to have a heart attack or stroke. I really dont like to put any kind of meds in my body. It was really had for me to deciede to take tx, but after thinking about it for 6mth I said ok, I am going to be one of the lucky ones, no side effects and am going to come out on the other side. no such luck. I was VERY faith about how and when I took my tx meds.
