Trudy,I was on a medication one time that made me crave carbs.... and anything sweet. Normally I shy away from the sweet stuff but I was going crazy on this one and didn't even realize what I was doing until I packed on 30 pounds. Check with your doc with the meds you are on... sometimes they make you do strange things.... Think.. think we found a house. Put in the contract today we shall see what happens. We actually found 2 so we have a back up plan if the first one doesn't go thru. I swear finding the right place was one of the hardest things I've had to do.. Now the big work starts. I've been worn out looking at houses all week. Now to tackle the packing.

My neighbor is helping me. My husband says he'll have the basement and garage packed up by the end of the weekend. I just to be able to concentrate on one room at a time. Been working in my office.. Lots to pack in there. If you don't hear from me too much, I am lurking but packing like crazy!Love you guys!TeriPS. Don, so glad you are back... I posted to you a few days ago about sweets, and lack of protein.

Im very glad that you eating more protein stuff now.

Ive noticed in myself that when I dont eat enough of some good foods - I start craving sweets.

Your eating more protein, but are you taking a multi-vitamin?

Also, fruits help with the sweet cravings.

They have natural sugars.

Have you been checked for diabetes?

I have never, not even as a child had a sweet tooth. Honestly, I would always skip the dessert and have seconds of veggies ( altho pastas have been my downfall). But now, when it really matters, that I am more careful with my diet, now I crave sweets. And it doesn't matter what. Cake, Nutty Bars, frosted muffins... and one is not enough. I swear I would eat anything sweet nonstop if I gave into the craving. It's very frustrating. I do believe quitting cigs was easier than staying away from the sweet stuff! If anyone has the magic answer please let me know. P. S. Day two of protein sups and adding about 60 grams of protein. I start the day with a 26 gram protein bar. Coincedence (?) but I have more appetite than I have had in a couple of years. Gotta be careful... Can't be gaining weight; should lose another 25 pounds! Glad your back home, Don. And hope the packing and house search is going smoothly, Teri.
