Hi Jane

I have been doing a little research on what you posted.

I dont agree with the 'End-Stage' thing, but Im not a medical professional either.

How End-Stage you actually are, the doctor will have to make that call.

Here are some links for you to check out.

I have had external Banding, but that was nothing.

Internal, Im not sure of, but the Banding itself is a relatively simple proceedure, as you probably know.

The operation itself to get to the Banding stage is probably more complicated.

Im not sure where to look from here or exactly what to look for.

I do have an opinion about getting a liver biopsy at this time.

Internal bleeding is THE major issue that your doctor is probably looking at.

You dont want that.

The biopsy is just a look-see proceedure to form a judgement about liver damage.

Pretty much, the doctor already knows that varices probably means there is liver damage present.

How much can wait until the more immediate bleeding problem is resolved.

Now all this sounds horrible, I know, but all hope is not lost.

You may have to go through some rough stuff, but as you are probably aware, Modern Medicine has made giant leaps and bounds in the last 20 years, in all sorts of fields.

I would again suggest that diet is a major player here.

If you drink alcohol or smoke tobacco, stop NOW.

I think your doing good with juicing anti-oxident foods.

Suppliments might be such a bad idea either.

You might want to consult your doctor, and see what he/she thinks about diet.

Dont lose faith Jane.

There are answers and solutions.

We just have to find them, and at times, thats tough.

We are all here for you.

Please keep us updated, and allow us to help with support as best we can.
