Guest guest
I read the article. It makes your hair stand up. The pharmaceutical industry have been the most lucrative in the U.S. but that's not good enough for them. They are doubling, tripling the prices of many cancer medications; in some instances they increase the price ten fold - and some of these drugs have been around for 60 years! We better follow Carolyn's suggestion and let our voices heard in Washington. I sent out the full story on the mailing list this morning. Guest guest
We had a similar article in our newspaper. So the article probable was picked up by a number of papers. Guest guest
Thx, Don, but maybe I've been misunderstanding...what I thought I've been hearing and even someone at clinic said ( I think ?) is with average insurance the co-pays can still be that high. One lady was saying with her military insurance( can't remember what that's called ) it was something like 1200.00 a month!! Anybody out there able to put my mind at ease ? Or do I need to put my first- borne up for auction on Ebay?? I have BC/BS but like the new anti dep cost me 80.00 out of pocket; insurance covered other half. Just stressin'. http://facebook.com/people/andTrudy-Kinsey/1340460877 " " A well- behaved woman never made history " ...Mae West http://oktravels.wordpress.com http://allrecipes.com/cook/TrudyK/profile.aspx
Guest guest
Very sensible advice--especially the letter from the doctor. I always had mine write that my meds were for the treatment of HIV/AIDS. The minute customs see that they stop questioning and can't get you out of there fast enough. Provided, of course, you aren't going to a place that restricts travel by HIVers... Re the Androgel--what I always do is peel off the prescription label from the box and put it on the bottle--covering the part that says flammable alcohol based gel. Works like a charm. The only time I've had a problem is when I didn't have the prescription label. A surly officer at Heathrow once insisted on confiscating my androgel because I didn't have the prescription (he wasn't smart enough to have read the fine print about it being flammable) Even though it's written on the label that it's by prescription only, if you don't have your dr's script they can and will confiscate it if they feel like it.
