I did the crazy stuff in the 70's- woke up in a baseball dugout in Fl with a game in session( quess they didn't think it odd?) was a year or two too young fo Woodstock but could ALWAYS create a Woodstock in my mind , in My World. I was the Cool Kid when with anyone close to what they thought my age was ! Oopps, did I tell a fib about my age:)--- I still do Bike Weeks. It is one of my bucket list... Every bike week in each state I live( temp) in! Was at Daytona last year! I even go to some nite parties, but leave early by their standards! Don't drink. But then you should see the crowd I hang with now!! We are Tankies...a division of Oilfield Trash LOL. But there a a few sane ones(?). Like I said earlier I have regressed in " age" but now I can remember what I did last night. LoL.... Usually; stupid brainfog!! Love my life, kids are grown- I'm

not!! But sanity prevails and some times the Dragon says Party's Over for today; time to rest. Part Pooper !! ( I party with unsweetened iced tea lol) http://facebook.com/people/andTrudy-Kinsey/1340460877 " A well- behaved woman never made History". Hi

Unless you enjoyed getting sh*tfaced, you probably wouldnt have had much fun at the night drunk parties there in Sturgis.

So really going back to your camp was probably best [and safest].

You should maybe thank your husband for keeping you out of trouble.

I guess some of the reasons I never went were because bikes dont make my heart thump like they do for some folks, and I havent drank since 1980, just after I got blown up in that house, and hurt so bad.

Ive been a stick in the mud since then, except for my hair and thinking.

My hot years were before 1980.

I would wake up about noon, smoke a joint, shoot up, eat some pills or acid, be in a blur all day, doing God knows what, then either playing music or partying until I passed out.

Or both.

I would say I had lots of fun, but frankly I dont remember much about it.

Bits and pieces.

Many a time I woke up in some strange places.

Like the time I woke up in this lesbian communal apartment in NYC, with this nasty taste in my mouth that took a month to fade away, and half my head shaved.

Or when I woke up inside of this bell in a Catholic church tower in Baltimore land when the Priest turned on the music, and the fire dept had to get me down.

Once I woke up in a huge tree in Monterey California without my pants. The last thing I remembered I was on stage in Austin Texas.

What the hell?????

Then I would do it all over again. LMAO

It amazes me that Im not dead already. Im sorta sane, and only have a few diseases.

7 years on the needle, 20 years on whiskey, handfuls of every pill imaginable, every drug known to man, and some only the aliens know about. :-)

Doing stuff that most people look at me, and think - 'what a lier'.

Ive been told to write a book many times. Ive thought about it. But nah.

Instead Ive written it in my songs.....got over 3000 of them....amazing stuff even to me.

Books are so 2-Deminsional....music takes you to places only the Gods know about.

Possibly why I love the internet so much - worlds within worlds, within worlds, accessable with a click.

I think my family hated me, and maybe I scared them too, during those years.

Could be why they keep their distance even now.

Once a black sheep, always a black sheep, I suppose.

I guess I have only myself to blame for having HCV, and being alone.

Dont know.

I hung with both cyclists and hippies. I was alway everybodies little sweetheart pat on the head. Someday I would make someone a good wife. But I was everyones little sis. I much to the dismay of my dad and mom made a lot of hippy friends out of high school and during college. That was late 70's. I was always told I was a bit too goodie too shoes. I didn't think so but they did. hm. Oh well.

I would have loved to have seen you back in them days. Wow. That is cool. Small world.

Going to Sturgis is crazy fun but so crowded. I loved the fun the people. My hubby was a little intemidated at first. I just ran around in the croud like I owed it. I loved everyone. I took pics with everyone. I would walk up to anyone and talk to them. Everyone there almost was nice. Everyone was there to have a blast. Bought a pr of harley boots for myself there to ride my cycle in. Had to go in every store. Watched all the bikes. Sat on the main drag by a 90 some year old lady and watched the bikes. She and her husband had a big trike made out of a vw bug. There was a man with a bike with a seat up front for his chihuahuas to sit and ride on. lol. I love sturgis. We did not make the night parties. I wish we could have but the husband don't party. We did not want to be around any of the drunks on bikes. So we went back to our camp ground early and sat around in a hot tub for the evening. I want to go back someday. I would love to go to bike

week in Florida sometime too. Never been to Florida. My sis lives in Orlando. Would love to go there. Our missle that came out of our misslebase is in Cape Canaveral Florida. would like to go see it.

DonThere was a time in my life that I would have absolutely admired the guts you had to drop out of society!!! Seemed that I could never quite do that... Oh how I dreamt though!! Instead, I tried a marriage for a whole 18 months with the perfectly wrong man and went on to become an alcoholic. At least sitting in the bar (looking for love in all the wrong places) listening to the music I loved, helped take me out of the doldrums. Now, my son is a guitarist; but, his shyness has also kept him from following his dreams. I try to encourage him constantly to free himself up a little; but, it's hard work. The family all cheered when he drove down to San Francisco on his own about a year ago!! Hopefully, that experience alone will go one and help him

realize that he can do anything he sets his mind too.Gloria

That's the spirit Trudy!!One of my dreams away back when, was to get my kid all raised, buy a Harley and go travelling!! Had a gal friend who was getting to do that and had already bought her Harley. Obviously, I didn't make it and it's only a memory now!!Gloria
