Guest guest
WOW!!! The first line of my post should have read " On the topic of chit-chat_ " --what it really meant was Please don't keep leaving all the previous posts attached so they have to be read over and over. I do not see anything dramatic about the rest of my post. If I offended anyone, you are free to email me privately. I do NOT plan to leave the group as I was invited to do. Yes, I called my friend the next morning and yes I understood how important it was to HER. The only info that MIGHT be relevant to anyone is--Don't let your dog, if you have one, eat large clumps of grass blown out by your lawn mower. Her dog almost died from it. Guest guest
WOW Don - way to go!!!For about perhaps two weeks, I did belong to a group back a long time ago, where the moderator had to clear everything PERIOD. When she sent back one of my posts because I'd missed a word (even my mind trips up my typing), I quit immediately!!! That was not what I wanted to learn - I was desperate to learn about this HepC and the fact that I had been a Non-Responder, certainly not my sentence structure.Gloria Hi everybody This is my opinion only. Please dont shoot me. This discussion does NOT need to be discussed in this group. Now hows that for a point to concider? LMAO - sorry, I cracked myself up. :-) This topic has nothing to do with HCV related issues, HCV info, HCV experiances, or HCV support. This is a 'group management' issue, and if you want to discuss 'group management' issues, maybe you should go join a 'group management' group. OR - you could start a HCV group of your own, and work your butt off running it so called 'properly'. OR - you are free to go join another HCV group where everything you say is judged as to its 'content', by someone else, and you have no 'freedom of speech'. Do you all know why this group has grown as large as it has....in one year? [Two years ago this group was about dead.] It is because this is an OPEN group, where everyone can freely discuss anything 'remotely related' to their lives with HCV. You are free to come here and share information, rant, rave, talk, support, chit chat, cut up, and even make a friend or two. You are even free to be way way 'off topic' sometimes - like discussing group discussions. LMAO [im cracking up here.] :-) Now I do agree that we should stay pretty close to the topic of HCV, but who is to decide what that consists of? One person said - 'my friend has HCV, and her dog ended up in the hospital'. Well, to my way of thinking, this involves STRESS, and stress is not good for those with HCV. This involves SORROW, and LOSS, and FEAR, and many other topics that relate to HCV. This might even involve extra COST, and many of us with HCV are poor, and struggling. The person who posted this statement needs to go to their friend, and tell their friend that this dog issue does not in any way affect them. That should go over real big. My point is that who is to judge what is 'proper' discussion in this, or any other group? I think that you would all agree that it is up to the managers, and founders of a group, to decide what is 'proper', and what is not. I run a pretty loose ship here for a reason, and it has worked out really well for the group, and most members. For every one who doesnt like my methods, there are many many who do. - I do not play demigod with your opinions or feelings. - I do not decide what you can say - as long as your not fighting, or spamming on forum. [That is a major NO NO in any group.] - I dont judge or dominate anyone at all. - I hate playing cop or dictator or Mr Bossman. - I refuse to decide for YOU, what affects YOU, with your HCV illness. I juss aint smart enuff. LOL I want each of you to feel free to express yourselves, and interact with others. I want each of you to choose what you need, or want to talk about. Hopefully we will all stay pretty close to 'on topic', be if we fail sometimes, this is ok. We all fail sometimes. I encourage each member to please go re-read the homepage discription for this group. http://health. dir.groups. / group/HepCWebWar riors/ ----> NO ONE is "judged" for their CHOICE of treatment! And belonging to a support group is part of our 'treatment'. And we, alone, decide what our treatment should consist of. - Now clip your posts of all messages but the one you are responding to, and your own reply. - Change the subject line if you change the subject. - Do not argue or fight on forum, or spam the group. - Try to stay 'on topic', but keep in mind too, 'all work and no play makes Jack a dull boy'. - Share with others whatever you can. We all need your smarts. - If you dont like the content of a post, hit DELETE. No other responce is necessary. - And MOST IMPORTANT - I want you to 'enjoy' comming to this group. We are your friends, and we care about your wellbeing. I, personally, will do everything I can to make this a useful, and enjoyable group for you. I will do everything I can to help you with info, and support, even if it goes into the grey areas. We all need each other, my friends, so we can fight this battle. I need you to teach me, so I can fight mine. Sorry for the book. It just happened. :-) love don in ks Please contact me OFF FORUM if you need to discuss this issue further. I will work with you to fix what is broke. ludichrist2000
Guest guest
SuziI didn't personally read your post about any dog etc. However, I am so sorry to hear that anyone would think they have the right to ask you to leave the group!!!! As far as I know, there are only two people on this group that have any power at all and one of them never comes to visit anymore. So please don't take anything that serious. My dog is extremely important to me and it would cause all kinds of horrible stress in my life if something were to happen to her. When I was away for surgery, I worried about how she was doing back here. There have been times throughout my illness that I actually felt that my dog was the only thing that cared and I've had two to help me.Gloria WOW!!!
