DebIf my blood work readings or my enzymes had ever been any where as nearly as good as yours, my Drs. here in Canada would not have even recommended treatment. However, that was definitely not the case. My ALT alone back in 2004 was 147 and that is not even considered high in comparison to other folks. However, the proof in the pudding ended up being when my liver biopsy was done, both in 2004 and then again in 2009. That's definitely where the whole story changes. In 2004, I was already at Stage 3 damage and bridging fibrosis. Treatment failed for me in 2005. Then, in January 2009, my liver had slipped over to cirrhosis and yet my ALT - 45 and my AST - 47. Fortunately, treatment has been successful this time!!!Then again, no sooner was I off

the treatment, than it was confirmed that I had another more horrendous side affect of HepC and it's damage - Liver Cancer. Please, please - at least go as far as getting a biopsy!!!!Gloria

I have to say I judge my health on how I feel and what I can do, not what a doctor tells me. And with the lab results with decompensated cirrhosis your liver enzymes do decrease. The one thing that is great is with the platlets and not so many bloody noses. Quite embarassing but I still carry the bag and kleenex and clorex wipes with me. I keep all labs so if any others you would like I am willing to send

Be well and enjoy your day

Debbie... okay, you have my full attention. Holy cow those results are amazing. I've heard that doctor was really good at what he is doing and it really looks like it is working for you. I understand the lab results as that is what I did in my former life.. I was a clinical lab technician. I went thru 48 weeks of tx in 2005-2006 after being diagnosed in 2004 with Geneotype 1A. I had the nasty virus in me for 24 years before they found it. It did a lot of damage. I cleared tx and have been SVR ever since. I hope what you are doing continues to work.. those results speak for themselves.Teri From: debbiel21 <debbiel@...> Sent: Sun, June 27, 2010 9:59:41 PMSubject: [ ] Re: what else-
