Guest guest
Hi Gloria I have read a few things about the relationship between HCV, Immune System, and digestive disorders. There is a definate connection. Crohns, Acid Reflux [Gerd], IBS, Gluten Intolerance, and Coeliac to name a few. 25 years ago I began to have a lot of trouble with bleeding hemorrhoids. - I have had several bandings and surgurys, and tried more fiber. 20 or so years ago, I began to suffer from acid reflux....bad. - I went on meds, got checked for ulcers, and tried less spices. 15 years or so ago, I became lactose intolerant - no more dairy products. 5 years or so ago, I began to realize breads, doughs, white rice, and stuff like that were upsetting my stomach - Gluten Intolerance. All these problems continue to this day. NOTE: I havent done HCV TX yet, so it is the HCV and my diet that is tearing up my guts. Here is what I have managed to collect so far on this topic. I will post more as I find them. Now that you have cleared the HCV, maybe your guts will return to a more normal state. Maybe not, I dont know. I have to take Prevacid daily, and sometimes a Rolaids too. I stay away from bread stuffs, processed grains, dairy, spices, and most definately fried foods. I am working on ridding my diet of processed foods too [anything in a can], due to spices, salts, sugars, fats, chemicals, and perservatives. - I am getting some relief when I eat right - fresh, frozen, 'LIVE' foods. - As we grow older, our digestive tract breaks down too. - Being overweight has its own set of digestive problems. You may just need to correct your diet Gloria, to get relief - something to think about. We are what we eat, how we live, and what we think. <--- Mom's common sence love don in ks Then it is my large intestine that has been causing me pain!! Sometimes it feels like it's got knots in there and is very sore.Gloria
Guest guest
DonSuper information! But, this thing with the abdominal pain, just started recently. The Dr already gave me the prescription for the hernia that also works for acid reflux. I've never been able to eat spicy foods at all and it's more to do with my taste buds than for my tummy. I'm very uncomfortable with anything in my mouth that has the slightest burning feel to it.Milk in my house now, goes bad and so I've had to absolutely quit buying it. I'm hoping to remember to get the two that are in the fridge disposed of immediately.Since leaving home, I don't have anything white in the place. Don't like rice except if it's brown with a mix of wild rice. Pretty much, my diet has completely changed since moving out of the house. If I am frying something - it's only in a small amount of Extra Virgin Olive oil. Very occasionally, I'll allow myself some fries at lunch time; but, as a rule I don't. I went shopping today and bought mostly fresh veggies and fruit. I did pick up a number of potatoes and carrots; but, they are for juicing. Plus I'm going to try some oranges with it and see if I get something decent from it. Next, I'll get things like brocalli and cauliflower to juice. I'm going to do like either Jane or Trudy suggested and freeze some of the juice. Especially right now when fresh fruit it almost affordable. Now this could all be due to the Fibro!! I had a bout one time that affected my heart even. Hubby was convinced that time, that I'd had a mini heart attack. So off to ER we went and fortunately, it had nothing to do with a heart attack. It was just the Fibro rearing it's ugliness. This is such a funny discussion I'm having with my son right now on Windows Messenger. We are talking about the pros and cons of me getting a script for legal pot. Geez, he spent years trying to hide the fact that he smokes it, from me and especially from his step-father. Of course I've known for years and he knows my take on the whole issue. Pretty much up here in BC, the law will leave you alone if you have some for self-use. They just frown on the grow ops. I'm not one of those idiots that believe that pot leads to harder drugs!!! There simply is far too much difference between it and hard drugs.Gloria Hi Gloria I have read a few things about the relationship between HCV, Immune System, and digestive disorders.
