Thanks, Lois, how was J's day?

Karac got a little agitated at gymnastics today, but his

teacher just worked right through it, and he and I sang his song for her. She is excellent

because she has a special needs brother and really seems to understand Karac.

Re: e

That is cute Pat! I make up songs like that for J too. Lois

Can you email me a picture of J? I bet he is very handsome. PK

Re: Help with Clothes/Pants

J was a 34 waist but now is a 32 since losing 10 pounds of the last 2 weeks. He is fine with buttoning and using the zipper but doesan't like belts. Lois

That's a great idea. Has been contributing any financial support for Diamond? Does Diamond have his last name?

Re: Merry Cristmas everyone

Pat,

The thing is she is not my DIL. and her was only together for a short time before Diamond came........She has never married........Very pretty BUT will not do the "50/50" with someone else. Everything has to be her way.

I talked to jason today (Di's dad) and he said (His wife) said for him to go to court and get a paper wrote up so that he can have some visitation rights! I told him "Please do that "! I will go with you! He said he is thinking about it. he is off work this week on vacation (He works for UPS)

I told him that Di really needs him right now....at age 14. Lois

Di is blessed to have you. Since has paid support, he should have some parental rights. I hope it works out that way. Is he written as the father on the birth certificate?

My middle daughter and her husband divorced at one time; they later remarried, but I got a lawyer during the time of the divorce and I ended up with more legal rights to my granddaughter than my SIL had. In Texas grandparents have some legal rights. I had just finished taking a course on Texas Family Law as a requirement for my degree. As a grandparent do you have any legal rights to a grandchild in your state? I know they weren't married, but aren't you still considered a grandparent legally? State laws are all so different. Re: Lois

Pat,

has paid support since he was born. She gets about 150.00 a week from him. No-She gave Di her last name! She didn't "talk" to about it. Lois

Parental rights and or visitation cannot be tied to financial responsibility.  If your son pays financial support or not - he has a right t see his child.  You as a grand parent can also go to family court and ask for visitation.

Pat,

Yes-His name is on the birth certifacate. Yes-We are to have some rights..(Grandparents). I never did anything because she use to let me get Di on a regular basics but over the last 3 or so years she has been using me as a "punishment" when Di gets a grade lower then a B.

I didn't talk to today so I don't know if he is still thinking about it. I hope so..........Lois

Kate,

I don't know why she has to act like this......She knows I love him dearly! I should have done it when Di was little but back then she was fairly good with letting me see him. She knows he likes to come here and she uses it as punishmaent.Instead of letting him come up here when there is no school she has him lock the doors and stay in the house until she gets home.

He can't have any friends come to his house. Lois

Hang in there,Lois; I can't imagine a mother who would rather have her son lock himself in at home rather than be with his grandmother. Exercise your rights. Love and blessings, Pat K

Pat,

I am going to call tomorow and see if he is going to do anything. Sometimes she will sleep for 3 or more hours and Di is in the house being alone while she does this.....(During the day)

Hi Lois

I hate hearing stories like yours about difficulty finding a doctor who will step up and work with you, so that you can heal.

Few, if any doctors have ever had to face the realitys of a major disease, and how it can shatter one's life.

They watch it unfold in others from a safe distance.

Every one of us [almost] have experiances just like this to tell.

I encourage you to keep trying to find that perfect doctor.

He or she is out there.

In between this winter and next year the Protease Inhibitors will be approved for use by the FDA. [Hopefully]

I have been trying to keep everyone updated on them.

They sound like they may be very helpful in ridding first timers, and non-responders alike who are geno's 1, of the dragon. [Possibly other geno's too.]

I am hoping that I too can get in on this. I am a 1B. No TX yet.

A lawyer is one avenue to seek help.

Another route is someone like Dr Berkson in New Mexico.

He is doing some neat stuff in helping those of us with liver disease with things like Alpha Lipoic Acid, LDN, etc.

Here is his homepage link.

http://www.drberkson.com/index.html <----- click

I dont what direction he would take you in, but he may be worth looking into.

There is lots of videos on YouTube also by him.

Im very glad to see that you are a fighter.

Never give up Lois.

HI,Yes I have cirrohsis. I am Stage 4 Grade 3/4. Genotype 1b. I have been battling doctors for 10 yrs about my Hep C. I can't even get my GI doc or my GP to step up to the plate and say that my pain and fatigue are due to my HEP C. No one will sign off on any further disability leave from work. I am out of FMLA, vacation and sick time. Time to get a lawyer!! I want to continue working for now until I have to try treatment again in 2011 (3rd try I am a nonresponder).I just started seeing this GI doc. I went to the U of W hosp to see Hep specialist for a second opinion. He seemed to be put off by a suicide attempt that I made 10 yrs ago after being brutally beaten and raped. I assured him that I have worked thru all that, and that I am still seeing a counselor and psych dr. for depression and anxiety.I was amazed that he didn't give me a MELD score. All these docs think I am going to be healthy for another 30 yrs and that I am just

panicing. I went from Stage 2 to Stage 4 in 1 1/2 yrs.I eat healthy, exercise (when I am not having Fibro pain)only take Mycilin for my tremor, and amytripline 5 mg at bedtime for sleep and anxiety. I don't even take asprin, ibuprofren, or acteminophen. I had my psych doc take me off the Buspar (for anxiety) when I found out it has a long life in the liver and can build up and become toxic to the body.I come here to read up on info that might help me to be better informed,to laugh about postings on THONGS (made me almost pee laughed so hard), and cry when others are struggling and I can't reach out and hug them. This virus/dragon needs to be slayed. I will never give up until I have succeeded at slaying the dragon!!! Peace and joy,Lois
